I just finished my overnight stay at the Florida centers of sleep medicine. This one is located on old Saint Augustine Rd. The people are exceptional. Lindsay worked with me the entire night whenever I needed anything I could just call out her name and she would hear me and come and help me that didn’t happen a lot. The room looks very much like your room or a hotel room. It’s not like a hospital bed. They hook you up to a lot of wires, but that’s so they can get excellent clear photographs about what’s going on with you. No problems here I do it again. Don’t let anybody dissuade you if you do have sleep apnea. It’s serious and it can lead to dementia and Alzheimer’s. That’s something I don’t want in my life cycle so take care of your health. I will post a few photos for you later. and Take care.

I went to the university Blvd, JAX,FL location, across from Memorial hospital. Overall very good. Facility was good (could hear the ambulances on the road every once in a while but not too bad. The scheduling staff was great. So is the clinical staff - Marco and Kirstin took care of two patients each. The ONE THINK TGAT I REALLY DISAPPROVE OF WAS THE GLUE TAPE TGEY PLACE ON YOUR FACE - I am now worrying about creating facial hair problems. When those sensors are taken off your face - peeling them off quickly - the tape "shaves" your face from hair (I NEVER shaved my face) and I wonder if the hair will niw grow stronger or faster. Marco was great - he was the one who initially assisted me into the building. Kirstin was my technician and she was very good too. There was only one single little time when she gave me just a little bit of attitude - I think her other patient (whom I could hear talk to Kirstin through the wall, while being wired for the sleep study) - that lady-patient agitated Kirstin just a little bit and when she came to my room she was a little impatient with me, but that was just one time and one sentence and then she was great for the rest of the night - brought me everything I needed and took good care of me. While trying to fall asleep there was a little too much talk noise in the hallway between staff, but not for too long. Then in the morning one of the staff was working in the hallway in front of my door refilling their cart if supplies and the noise of plastic wrappers was too long and bothering. But overall the 6-7 hours of sleep with interruptions and with my own waking up were as good as can be when wired with so so many tapes, glue and wires all over scalp, face, chest, finger squeeze fir oxygen monitoring, etc.
