Recently I was in U of F Flagler for an ordered sleep study. This test had improved over the years. Much easier to fall asleep. The staff was so attentive and understanding. When I woke up during the night to use the restroom the staff was there immediately! Hope I do not have to have another one, but if ever I do it will be in the U of F Flagler sleep lab! Thank you Flagler staff!

Very unpleasant experience. Bed/mattress was very uncomfortable - might as well have been sleeping on the tile floor. Significant light leakage into the room - not a dark & cool environment recommended for sleeping. Minimal sound deadening in the room - everything echoed. Very "hard" and "old" hospital room. No design intent for a purposeful/restful environment. The only favorable to the room was that it had its own full bathroom. Staff protocols do not support transition periods from wake to sleep. Expectation was to immediately go to sleep after application of sensors. No reading, no television, no transition activities. Site team communicated an expectation that machine/mechanical support was to be expected before the study even began. Did not offer/recommend/suggest/try non-CPAP options. The staff were professional and courteous but clearly preconditioned to drive a CPAP-based solution. This was the complete opposite experience from what i was expecting based on feedback from others who have had sleep studies done at other providers. Further, nearly 3 months after the test, this location has not sent my results to my referring physician. Also, my PCP was surprised/disappointed that they had not even mentioned a wider range of options beyond only CPAP. Can not recommend this facility for any sleep study needs. Recommend looking for other options.
