(i left another review but I think it got lost ,so hope I'm not repeating myself) whew,. I just want to say what a truly lovely group working at Holmes Health First Hospital !! I had to be admitted on 🥵Christmas Eve and was not happy about that , but I could not believe it !! Everyone there had a big smile that lit up their faces and all of them were soooooo anxious to help! I would like to thank a few (kids) they were by my side quite a bit..first there was Katricia, Paul, Stephan and, of course, all the nice ladies escorting me to yet, another bathroom trip..smiles all the way! But my biggest shout goes to Rob , 😇 a Registered Nurse who explained my condition over and over until I "got it" he would make a truly fine physician one day. So my Christmas was saved by so many nice, caring and helpful people. Keep up the good work guys☺️🌴
I was just like to say my deepest appreciation to all who ran the sixth floor surgical for where I stayed. They went above and beyond the kindness and loyalty to their patience each and every one of them nurses doctors AIDS cleaning people should all be given a big thanks once again thank you all of us from your patient. Mark Mattucci enjoy life as it is safe in God bless you all.
This had to be the worst an experience I ever had in an ER. No beds. My 91year old mother was being tested and treated in an ER hallway no curtains with no regard for her privacy. HIPPA laws totally disregarded. Totally unsanitary. Garbage pails moving past hallway patients. It is now going on 9 hours and she is being admitted and must wait longer for a bed to be available. DO NOT GO TO HOLMES IF YOU HAVE A CHOICE.
One of the dirtiest hospitals i have ever seen. I was there for two days with my friend and cemented the common opinion of Brevard has not one quality hospital. The nurse was kind and the lady in charge of the meals was delightful. The internal medicine doctor was extremely dismissive of my friend and her issues she wouldnt talk to my friend and kept looking at me as if I was the one in the hospital bed. The room had mold and what looked like blood splattered on the ceiling and walls. Paint was peeling from items being removed.
Service was amazing and all of that was excellent and I really do try to leave respectful reviews. Thank you to the professionals who serve well here! But this hospital entrance was not AT ALL accessible for people who have mobility issues! From the disabled parking area there is a FIVE INCH CURB, a winding path AND STAIRS to get to the building. Who puts high curbs, long paths and stairs by the handicapped parking areas?!?! Yes, the area is aesthetically pleasing, but come on now! Hospitals EXIST to help people who are dealing with physical issues, yes??? Certainly not just to look pretty. After my radiology scans, I headed back toward my car and did discover a ramp to the parking lot, thankfully.... but it's not visible from the parking area where the disabled spots are and there are no signs. How is someone to know it exists? It's going to take 30-40 minutes to get the muscle spasms to stop (from this completely unnecessary obstacle course!) so I can drive home. I wish the people who designed these spaces had a clue what it means to have to fight for every step even on a flat, unobstructed surface. This was not at all designed with anything but visuals in mind. And I don't understand why it is necessary to cause unnecessary pain to get, of all places, into a hospital.
