Taken straight back to triage, then to room, doctor came in immediately to assess my husband’s condition, after falling 12 ft to the street. Scans were taken shortly after, in which the results came back quickly. He was stitched up and on our way. The staff, doctors and even EMT in emergency room were extremely nice and went above and beyond, not only for my husband, but for me as well! We will never go back to Brasleton. Barrow will be our first choice.

Usually the nurses are nice and attentive, the doctor can be a different story. During my last visit, talking to the doctor was like talking to a brick wall. She looked as if she didn’t even want to be there. Usually before you leave, the doctor or someone will go over your lab results and explain some things to you. She didn’t. The nurse asked me did the doctor come in and explain the change in my bloodwork from my last visit. The nurse looked a little shocked when I told her the doctor didn’t explain anything. She didn’t explain to me about how your d dimer results being high, could possibly mean there’s a blood clot some where. The doctor only kept asking if I felt well enough to go home, it felt rushed. Which is crazy considering, I came in really early in the morning and the place was empty with not even one person in the waiting from. Just wish I had a different doctor that day.

Do not bring your children here just left and my child was denied an x-ray even though she had gasping breathing. Didn’t even want to give her a breathing treatment . Had to go back and fourth with them to even get her a breathing treatment . Will never be back to this place again . They did not want to help my 15 month daughter. Today is August 30 @3am so yall know who was there . This hospital has done a great job in the past but idk who they have working there now but these people are the absolute worst . Had no compassion or cared about my child’s breathing . Update my daughter had to be taken in an ambulance from children’s health care because her breathing got worse. Thanks a lot for not helping my daughter. Even they knew my daughter needed immediate attention. Shame on you night shift.

Went to this hospital due to having pain in my arm. I waited in the waited room, was called back and had all the usual ER questions with the nurse (blood pressure, temp, explain why your here, etc..) and then was sent up front. I made it known I was seeing a chiropractor but it wasn't working. I was sent to the ER by my primary as they said that was the best option. As I am sitting there for over 2 hours I am in horrible pain and it's just getting worse. I finally get sent back and the PA comes in which is a young woman. She ask me some questions, touch my arm slightly and then says that the doctor will be in. The doctor comes in, ask me question, doesn't examine me at all and leaves. It was less than a 10 minute interaction between the both of them. I am then told by a nurse to sit back in the waiting room. After another 30 mins go by I am then called to the back again where I am given a cortisone shot (they didn't even tell me what it was, I found out from another doctor reading the file) and told to go back to wait in the waiting room where I wait for another hour. I sit there is excruciating pain watching people that came in behind me go to the back in patient rooms but I am still sitting here. I can see from the waiting room the PA and the doctor sitting there laughing and joking. I start getting upset because by this time I had been sitting there for hours with absolutely no pain relief and watching "the medical staff" joke and have a good time at work. Please keep in mind this is in the middle of the day and it it very empty and quiet in the ER. I wasn't even worth getting a private room. It was the most uncomfortable feeling ever to be dismissed like that for a second time in less than 24 hours by a non person of color doctor. Unfortunately it is a clear pattern I have noticed in the Winder/Bethlehem area. I was given a referral and told to go see a pain management specialist and I need to follow up with my primary. That's it. I later found an amazing Orthopedic doctor after doing my own research and went to their after hours and was able to see someone. I have a pinched nerve and 3 herniated disk thanks to those amazing doctor that took my pain seriously. I take the drive to Braselton next time. The orthodepedic doctor I now see has agreed that they absolutely agree that more than my temp should have been done at the hospital especially with the level of discomfort I was showing. That's the purpose of going to the ER. By the time I arrived to her office later that day after going an entire day with NO PAIN RELIEF I was hysterical and had a panic attack in her office because I couldnt take it anymore and was going to another hospital. I'd advise everyone to not come here.

We moved to Winder a year and a half ago. My first experience with the hospital was having a meniscus surgery. I had never in my life been to a smaller yet better and more attentive hospital and staff in my life! They treated me as if I was the only single patient in the entire surgery center. It was nice having everyone fuss over me. I’m not sure I would’ve gotten this care had I been anywhere else and I have had quite a few surgeries and I was treated just like another patient. Get them in and get them out like cattle. I hope that if I ever have to have a surgery that the doctor can do it at this hospital because the level of care is five star! 2boujeebulldogs on IG
