John Hopkins is an exceptional facility. They were top notch in our experience and took the guess work out of everything by communicating everything to us and kept us calm during a very stressful time. From the Frontline transfer crew to the nurses, respiratory therapists, and doctors our son was in wonderful hands. He got the immediate and hands on care he needed to get better all with the help of compassionate and knowledgeable staff leading the way. Thank you for helping our son feel better and get back to being himself and helping us learn his new level of care to keep him always in good health. From the bottom of my heart, thank you!!

A Review From a Grateful Family Who Will Never Forget Our family spent 16 of the hardest, most emotional days of our lives at Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital in St. Petersburg Florida after our daughter became extremely sick following the removal of a perforated appendix. What we walked into was fear and uncertainty — what we walked out with was healing, hope, and a newfound appreciation for what TRUE CARE really means. There is no way to adequately express what this hospital and its staff did for our daughter and for us as parents. From day one, we weren’t treated like “another case,” “another room,” or “another chart.” We were treated like a family whose world had suddenly stopped, and who needed not only medical expertise, but compassion, patience, and human connection. Every single person, from the brilliant doctors and devoted nurses, to the cleaning staff, meal staff, child life team, and every support member in between, showed a level of empathy that can’t be taught, it has to be part of who they are. They comforted our daughter when she was scared, held space for her emotions, celebrated every small improvement, and reminded her that she was strong. They cared for her with tenderness, concern and not routine. They comforted us, too, the exhausted parents, who tried to stay brave but sometimes couldn’t. They spoke gently, explained thoroughly, listened fully, and never rushed a single question, worry, or tear. Their calm presence became our strength. Their words became our reassurance. Their smiles became our hope. What touched us most was how genuine it all felt. None of it was forced, none of it was scripted, it was real, human, and full of heart. We want every staff member who may ever read this to know: What you do matters. Who you are matters. And you changed our family forever. Your kindness will outlive the memory of procedures, monitors, IV lines, and medications. What we will remember most is how you made our daughter feel safe, seen, and cared for, and how you made us feel that we weren’t alone. With tears, respect, admiration, and endless gratitude, Thank You, from the bottom of our hearts. You are true healers in every sense. — A forever grateful mom & dad 💙

The neurology team was amazing. Although we had 4 different doctors in almosy 10 yrs the one constant was the staff. The ladies at the desk on floor 5 have been there since the very beginning with us. I wish there were more people like that in the world. These women have ALWAYS been kind, understanding caring, compassionate ladies. From the admissions team, to our over night stays, the cafeteria staff, the folks that keep the hospital maintained, every single person we encountered, i can only hope that I share that same compassion in every day life. All Children's is truly a blessing and thankful for each and every soul that we ever met along the way.

Lindsey and her co-worker made our experience wonderful! Dr.B was phenomenal for the entire experience! So between the dynamic duo of nurses and phenomenal team at John’s Hopkins, I give my heart and soul for the love they give to all patients!

We have interacted with cardiology, hematology, gastroenterology, psychiatry, lab, pharmacy, and allergy specialists (I’m probably forgetting something). We’ve been seen inpatient and outpatient. We’ve been involved in newborn and teenage care. We have been involved in research studies. We have been seen in Tampa and St Pete. In all of these scenarios, I can only think of one truly bad interaction and it was addressed with some swift education of the RN involved. My children all feel comfortable at JHACH and enjoy being there, even if spending time in a hospital isn’t ideal as a parent. Every staff member has been courteous and kind and eager to help and support whenever possible.
