I Have never seen nurses so disrespectful and non compassion in my 30 years of healthcare I have a patient who was in Baptist for10 days she was discovered in bed with tube feeding formula all over her they did not have any techs for 2 days and when I tried to have the charge nurse come to the patients room to show her what was discovered she refused her and the patients nurse Janae would not cone the rigged up a story saying I yelled at them which was not even true I asked for bedding and gown to give this elderly woman a bath they stated a nurse manager would cone to speak with me who never showed up the attitude and behaviors of these nurses were totally shocking hospitals are for humans not animals what happened to compassion and concern I felt like they did not have any concern for that patient her hands were left dirty as well as she has a tube feeding formula that the button was so nasty it looked like it hadn’t been cleaned since she been their I went to administration and filed a complaint and apparently the. Ed’s for nurses is so bad that the behavior almost looks like it’s acceptable the charge nurse Helen was condoning the nurse Janae’s behavior on Dec 20 a nurse Alexis came into the patient room and was trying to be confrontational and I ask that she leave because it was only creating a worker environment I did everything on my part to refrain from even having to have a conversation with these nurses because something is clearly wrong at Oschner Baptist my parents raised me to treat others the way you want to be treated and if this is how Oschner allows their nurses to treat people I would never go their as a patient even if I’m dying hopefully my patient will return home to a full recovery however I would definitely like to speak with the care administrator or speak with Health Standards to file a serious complaint as well as allow them to see the photos of what was done to my patient on just so sad that it even had to come to this
My appointment was scheduled for 10 am. I was put in an exam room approximately a half hour later. Told to put on gown. It was cold and at 10:55, which was well past my appointment time, I put my clothes on and left. I had prechecked in and paid my copay. Dr. Monique Hamilton never came to the room to see me. The service was very unprofessional and I will not be using this doctor or facility again.
The Ochsner system has failed me. For starters, you are never able to call your doctor’s office directly - all calls are directed through a call center where you can “leave a message” for your doctor’s office for them to call you back. If you miss that precious callback, oh well - time to do it all over again! And don’t even get me started on chronic illnesses. The doctors don’t actually try to find solutions to help you, or treat the root cause. Instead they just send you to someone else, who then says you’re “fine”. But what about the fact that I don’t feel well??? Seems they don’t care. The fact that these mega corporations are taking over the healthcare system is deeply saddening to me. I’m switching to a private primary care practice in hopes there are still some decent healthcare providers out there.
Thanks to all the doctors and nurses that took care of Mr. Reggie! Also, I would like to give a special thanks to all the wonderful staff and security members that worked at this center. Everyone was kind and respectful of their patients. During the time it was winter and Covid-19 was still a thing, plus Mister Reggie was omitted due to the virus. But in all and all he was provided with a nice clean room and also given meals daily! He almost stayed in the hospital for 2 weeks and not once did he say he had an issue whatsoever. Thanks again to everyone and bless you all!!!
