One of the more unexpectedly, pleasurable experiences I’ve had lately with a new healthcare provider. Shelia Shepard and the entire group I interacted with were excellent. From the receptionist and “check-in” nurse to Shelia, all personable and professional. I wish the DMS folks Ive been dealing with were half as helpful.
I've been going here for the last few years. The staff are great but this year, I got a hospital facilities fee that was over $200 that the insurance didn't pay. Don't know if I'll be going back. My wife called about this since we had two different doctor visits at different locations. The other doctor was in a building that supposedly had a couple of floors connected to the hospital. So, going to that office qualified as an office visits. Phone calls were placed to both insurance and the customer service center before this review was written. This is a common tactic to extract more money from you. Instead of an office visit having the price of overhead included, they now bill you separately for the building. Just another day in the USA health care system. Dropping the review to 1 star because I had to come back and post the rest of this saga.
I arrived early. Was registered before my scheduled appointment time. Promptly taken to an examination room. Vitals taken and a questionnaire started. The NP came in and started my assessment. I was shown newer supplies and free samples given for me to try. I was scheduled for a sleep study to be done in one month - that’s quick. And an appointment for follow up to receive results less than two weeks after my sleep study. Again this is much faster than my experience at another facility. So far I’m very impressed with the care I received at this sleep clinic.
My care has been ongoing with the sleep evaluation center for 3 years now it is always professional and caring, all staff display kindness and patience. You feel as if everyone really listens to you and it is evident they share that information with your care provider. They have an excellent team.
