Because of endocrinologist Levengood at Memphis VA, she makes me wanna leave the VA Healthcare system. All people should be treated with respect, and she definitely doesn't treat people as such. And I "SEE WHY." She told me that TO HER, it seems as if I come off as rude so she decides to keep it short and brief. And she hangs up the phone before conversations are finished, like a child would do when they're mad. So how will I be able to learn anything about what I have to see her for if everything is short and brief? Furthermore, I've never had that issue, never been told that. And SHE is the one who seemed rude from the first conversation we had, as if she didn't wanna even be bothered. No, I don't like her attitude because it's not a professional one, I don't feel comfortable with that at all. And it shouldn't be where I can't speak to someone without thinking she'll retaliate and stop my med. I've done her kind of work in my years, so she needs to kno that she's not dealing with an uneducated woman. I haven't spoken with anyone from Patient Advocate yet, because most calls go unanswered. BUT I AM DEFINITELY GONNA TALK WITH SOMEONE ABOUT HER. And if she doesn't like her job and doesn't like dealing with patients, she probably should find a job that she likes..

My husband is a veteran. The receptionists in the ER (VA Memphis on Pauline) are very rude to patients. Over crowed husband had to be admitted but he had to stay in ER due to no beds on the floor. Was told he would be discharged at 1pm and the “nurse” started rushing him at 11:30 stating we can put a white gown on you and roll you to the front we need the bed” I hate going to the VA. Our veterans deserve way better treatment

This facility has ALWAYS gone above and beyond for my medical needs, wellness and mental health thearpy needs. The staff is (mostly) always polite and engaging. ***The ONLY reason I didn't give Bedford Tower a fifth star is based on the front reception desk at the cardiac/eco department on the 2nd floor. HOWEVER, the providers are excellent, kind and professional. That front desk has been the most unprofessional and openly condescending I've ever personally experienced w/in the VA system. I've never been checked in or helped by them with anything other than annoyance or irritation. And that was just from asking a question. I value people's time, energy and space, it's only polite to expect the same back. Retrain or rehire w/all do respect.

To whom it may concern. Your phone system is faulty and does not work well. Your employees explain to the veterans to call these extensions (even handed me a sheet of paper with all the department extensions). I am my father's caregiver. It was explained to me by numerous doctors at the VA including nurses that in order to contact the providers you must enter a 1+four digit extension. Any time I have tried this method it just rings and rings and rings. Sometimes it even sounds like someone picks up then it hangs up on you. Very frustrating. Our veterans deserve better service than this!

My brother had a procedure done last week, It went very well. He has been going to the VA Hospital for over 30 years. They been talking very good car of him. I are breakfast while I was there, it was ok a lot of variety to choose from which was good. But the eggs was liquid process eggs not shell eggs and the turkey sausage was very process. The grits and hash browns were ok. My recommendation for them if they read this go with Williams, Jimmy dean or Tennessee pride sausage they will taste better. And use real shell eggs please. Other than that the workers in the restaurant was nice and friendly and the restaurant very clean.
