Had a sleep study last night. The tech was very attractive and thoughtful. Was right on top of my gasping for air
This was the biggest waste of time ever! It took months to get an appointment. Then I get there and get ambushed in the hallway by a lady who tells me I have to go up to the first floor of the hospital to register. I get upstairs to registration and they claim they don't do registration for the sleep center. They took my name and told me to have a seat. An hour later and 45 minutes past my appointment time, all the registration office are empty with one of the clerks coming out into the waiting area to look out a window and I am still being told someone will be with me shortly. Tried to call the sleep clinic several times only to get the recording that everyone is busy. I finally just gave up and left. If they aren't even competent to get me registered, then I doubt they are very competent with being able to fix the sleep issues I have. I will just speak with my physician about getting an appointment someplace else. Not to mention had I known it was inside a hospital with the COVID situation, I would have canceled anyway. Don't waste your time.
Generally nice office, but I am still awaiting results of an at-home study over 2 weeks after it took place. 2 calls to the office have resulted in nothing. Add to the fact that insurance isn't covering my study after all, resulting in a huge bill. All of this makes this experience less than satisfying. Consider a different provider if possible.
rooms are clean, staff is friendly and helpful. If you need the study done, I recommend Norton Audubon. The only issue I have is they are difficult to reach via telephone for booking or rescheduling or asking questions.
Good people.... long process... and very expensive for the vi$its/studies.....Id rather just live with sleep apnea and take my chances.
