Just a god awful first impression. Clearly was not welcomed there.
I've never been so poorly treated by people that I was willing to pay thousands of dollars to treat me, the attendant, Jennifer treated me so badly that any question I asked made me feel horrible that I was even there. I've learned from personal experience that anyone that would treat you that way you should leave through the nearest exit because they will make things up. To also make the situation illegal, a healthcare professional cannot threaten to withhold critical services if you refuse to surrender your right to privacy, it's a crime, I had to leave, not only did they violate the law, they made it so uncomfortable that any sane person would realize that they should not stay there. I was there because I needed to be there and another patient cancelled and I agreed to come in with 3 hours notice, I also arrived 30 minutes early because I don't like being late. The attendant made it apparent that she did not like my timeliness and critiqued and attacked the staff that assigned my appointment, it was incredibly unprofessional from a hospital. They also pull out a camera at the moment you walk through the door and start photographing you without any explanation and when asked about it they just completely fabricated everything.
I recently had an incredibly disappointing experience at Thibodaux Regional Sleep Disorders Center. Firstly, getting a consult scheduled was a nightmare as they only offer consults on Tuesdays, making it extremely difficult to find a convenient time. After finally securing an appointment, I arrived promptly for my 2:15 slot only to be kept waiting for nearly an hour. This delay forced me to leave without being seen since I couldn't afford to miss work. When I tried to reschedule, the staff showed no effort to accommodate me, and the earliest available appointment was more than two months away. It's clear that they don't value their patients' time at all. The overall pace of the staff was incredibly slow, which only added to the frustration of the whole experience. I will definitely be exploring other options for my sleep disorder needs, as this level of disregard for patients' time and convenience is unacceptable.
An all around very pleasant experience. The staff were polite, professional & knowledgeable. Dr. Steuben, the pulmonologist who read the report, was very giving of his time & with information. Could not have asked for better medical care ... pretty text book!
Extremely pleasant staff, which helps this otherwise uncomfortable (sleeping away from home and being monitored) experience, to be as comfortable as possible. I would highly recommend this center for determination of sleep apnea.
