First time patient of Dr. Kathryn Strait last in March of 2025. The consult visit went well but I left with a lot of questions about next steps. Unfortunately, over the next several weeks I would spend much time calling and emailing their office staff regarding the results of my home study. The level of miscommunication, clear incompetence, and lack of service has been insulting. I have been a long time patient of Norton Audubon Physicians as a group. To date I have never received a call back from my doctor. In this case, my medical care and health concerns were not prioritized. I would not recommend for new patients.
PICK ANOTHER SLEEP CENTER IF YOURE ABLE TO!!! It is not worth the hassle! I have never been to a healthcare facility that has been so unorganized and difficult to communicate with. The phones are NEVER answered. No responses through mychart. After playing phone tag with them about my insurance for a year, I was finally scheduled for my sleep study. I have now waited to be contacted for the results of my sleep study for over 2 weeks. I’ve tried to send messages through my chart and phone calls, but have had no luck through either. I finally was able to speak to the operator when calling the pulmonary center. She said it should take 7-10 business days, but it has already been 12 business days. There has been bad weather and holidays, which I understand, but this facility is not equipped to keep up with the volume of patients being seen and providing test results in a timely manner. My hope is that I will be able to “cancel” the test being read and sent to insurance which will allow me to go somewhere else for testing.
I highly recommend the NORTON SLEEP CENTER. I'm under the excellent care of Dr. Chandiramani at the center's Newburg Road office, where I've been a patient for years. Everyone at the sleep center provides OUTSTANDING, considerate care. They listen...and explain things clearly, patiently and simply. Appointments are handled in a timely way, and the offices are top-notch. I'll add that it's a big advantage to see a Norton sleep care provider, since my primary care physician -- Dr. Rachel Busse -- is part of the Norton network.
I had a really terrible experience - I would have left the study had I been able to. The sleep lab tech (I can't remember her name but the black lady with a pixie cut) was extremely rude and condescending to me. I went in feeling hopeful of finally getting a diagnosis but she stressed me out so bed throughout the testing that I was not able to sleep hardly at all. My results may as well have been unusable as I only slept about 3 hours. I'm a grown woman and I was nothing but kind to her, but she spoke to me like she chiding her own child. I even told her I have allergies to certain types of adhesives and when she used those adhesives on my face and I asked her to use a different kind (it was causing severe itching), she said it'd be fine and didn't do anything to fix it. So I suffered all night with that. I'll spare the other details for the sake of brevity but I just wanted to express how upset I was to have wasted my time. I wish I had gone literally anywhere else for my sleep study.
Tamara was fantastic with my son who suffers from disabling anxiety. she explained everything, made him very comfortable, and was super nice. anything he needed, she was on top of it. thanks.
