I asked questions and asked for records that, legally, I am entitled to have. Because of this Dr. Amy Blanchard “divorced” me. The reason given was that I was “disrespectful and abusive towards the doctor and sleep clinic technicians.” I did ask her, through patient portal, for the video from my sleep study and she replied it was too long and might not even be available. I told her that Georgia law requires that it be available to me. I have never met this doctor. As far as the techs, I asked for a copy of the sleep study protocol and the response I got was “why would you want that? What would you even do with that”. Not that it really matters why I want it or what I do with it; by law I am entitled to have a copy of it. If this is disrespectful and abusive then these people need to grow some thicker skin.
