They scheduled me for a different time than I was told over the phone. I confirmed my appointment in a different phone call when the time in a confirmation text did not match the time I was initially given. In said second phone call, I confirmed my appointment. After that, I moved around my work schedule to try to make the appointment work. Once I showed up to my appointment (on time), the lady at the front desk says that they canceled my appointment (because the doctor was over booked). They said they called and left a voice mail (that I did no recieve) after I confirmed the appointment. They offered to "see if" the nurse practitioner could fit me in to their schedule today, but I rejected it. (Edit) I just looked at my email
If I could give zero stars I would. Patricia McGovern is the worst NP ever. How do you block a certain company phone number. When people are trying to receive supplies. How the hell do you tell do you tell a patient over the phone loud enough for that patient's family to hear. That you do not give a damn about their wellbeing. Quite frankly, that is no way to talk to patient's and I am wondering why she still has a job. Clearly that is not a good profession for her.
I will start by stating that Dr. Abraham is a fine doctor. He has great listening skills and bedside manner! Try to call the office though, good luck. After many many phone attempts, I thought I had a person on the other end of the call and then they just hung up Trying to update your appointment? Good luck. Friendly staff? Not here! Receptionist is not there whether they are "in clinic" or not. It is a waste of time. Hopefully Dr Abraham can go to another facility(Ochsner?) that makes it easier for patients' continuum of care.
I see Dr Abraham for my sleep apnea and he has really helped me out. He has always listened to me and provided helpful advice add well as educating his patients so they understand what is going on. He is a great guy and shows his patients that he really cares. I would recommend him to anyone with sleep problems.
At Lourdes Sleep Center. Lourdes is trying to move into digital records. They now expect us to sign away patient rights on digital pads but won't show patient what they are signing on the actual computer screen. As a patient I refused to "sign" a legally binding form without being able to "see" the form. It appears Lourdes management / IT are going the cheap route. As patients we should all demand to see the LEGAL documents we are being asked to sign.
