Decided to send my mother home as a ‘safe discharge’ with a systolic that was damn near stroke level. With prior cardiac issues including a leaking valve and came in with stroke like symptoms. However, she was not treated as a potential ischemic stroke patient. She was treated as nothing. Asked many times ‘what kind of drugs are you on’… meanwhile upon arrival to any ER, you get labs, urine and so on. He could have looked in her chart and seen she was not on any substance she has a cardiac history. As a BASIC stroke center. And yes I said BASIC. When someone with a high systolic comes in and tells you they are having numbness in the right (or left) side of their body and they have prior cardiac issues and a high systolic… it’s common sense to do a stroke protocol. However she was treated poorly, with negligent treatment, and just filled her with fluids when she already has bilateral edema. Nothing about that, is a safe discharge. No CT, no nothing but being degraded by a doctor who works in a level 3 trauma center with is the LOWEST level of trauma. Let’s also discuss the fact that there are SEVERAL. Medical negligence cases surrounding misdiagnosis when it pertains to things such as strokes against unity hospital. Don’t worry, you’ll have your time to provide a poor excuse for why you did what you did. However, while you might think there are incompetent family members. Not all of us are.
The night nurses at 4 AM were amazing — kind, upbeat, and made me feel safe. But once the day shift started, everything changed. The first mistake was the young nurse blew a vein and bruised me up immediately. The short, older nurse was rude and dismissive, constantly saying I was only 4–5 cm dilated even as my baby’s heartbeat kept dropping. Every time she came in, my baby’s heartbeat was lost, and she still didn’t take it seriously. When Devon came in to check me after my baby’s heart stopped, I was actually 8–9 cm and close to delivery — far beyond what the rude nurse had said. That mistake could have cost my baby’s life. While all this was happening, some of the staff were laughing and joking even though I was heavily medicated, bp dropping fast and my baby was in distress. It was completely unprofessional and heartbreaking. Now I understand why they don’t allow recordings — no mother should ever see how little compassion some staff show during a crisis. Devon didn’t stop until she found my baby’s heartbeat, told them to call the team in, and took control when no one else did. Even though the staff did their jobs, the lack of empathy, urgency, and respect from some made me feel completely unwelcome. What should’ve been a beautiful birthday turned into a traumatic experience. I’ll never have another baby at this hospital, and I hope other moms think twice before delivering here.
I was seeing on doctor and my husband was also. My husband dad passed away this doctor told him to get over it then the doctor wife passed away and he left his patients and moved away and opened another office. So my husband told the one that took his place what he did and he had no response so my husband said you doctors say one thing and do something else. When I was going there a doctor gave me a pill it made me twitch. When I went back he said why did they give you that no you did now fix it but he couldn't. Same as the doctors in dr Davison office. I didn't feel good for a long time . Had test run and all he would say is your vitamins D is low everytime. I want to little rock and took some test they came in and said I. Have daily headache and migraines that I would have to see my regular doctor when I told them he wouldn't. So I went back and he said nothing about any test or results. I got my records then it turned into what the hell. 7 test came back red flagged and one said if patient takes anymore Tylenol he could go into a coma. And I was 25 percent black. And I have double DNA that makes it own antibodies. I told my insurance company witch called and ask him he said he got the best care possible. Is that why I had to spend 42 days in the hospital for the surgeon cutting my intestines in three places and my liver. Gave me 2 percent chance to come off the table a live. I went to Dr Davidson 3 times and the unit health hospital 3 times the surgeon said he didn't have time and that when a lady from the front office came and ask me why I keep coming back. I told her because the doctors won't do they job. He said you look like your doing better. Yes you gave me a pain shoot then it was right back. So between the unity health hospital and doctor Davidson not do right by there patient it cost me not them. Then doctor Davidson put something in my records I can't see. I found that he put i wason drugs. He never done a drug test on me and yes I smoke pot because there's no doctors that will treat pain because the doctors lie on patients charts. That's why they don't let you see them. The doctor that wouldn't listen when I came out of surgery causing me to almost die. I will never go to unity health doctors again.
They don’t care about anybody. They are there for their paycheck and that is it. I had to beg the for a CT because I felt like something was wrong.. they were going to send me home with only having an simple test that I told them I have had done several times…turns out I have a spot on my liver… instead of sending me for further treatment due to the symptoms I came in with (extreme dizziness, weakness, nausea, severe pain, and unclear vision) they send me home to go to a primary care doctor where I’m having to wait months for further testing. Hospitals are suppose to save life’s not turn them away. If I were a doctor and wasn’t capable of solving the problem that it was my job to solve then I’d make sure to hand the problem to someone who could solve it. Rude nurses and crap doctors.
My wife had an emergency and I took her to the emergency room and the minute we walked in they immediately seen it was a medical emergency her tongue was swollen and starting to restrict her breathing! They immediately went into to action at one point I know there were 3 doctors and probably 4 nurses if not more! And had diagnoses immediately and started treating her accordingly! They were very professional and very concerned and reacted perfectly! God bless them! And thank you so much in saving my wife's life! Y'all are truly amazing! It was exactly what they diagnosed and treated her for it was a reaction to lisinopril! Thank you so much for you professional help and I will never forget and if we ever have another medical emergency that's where we are going!
