I am surprised to see the negative reviews. I saw Dr. Ramsey for 30 years. He ws fantastic. I now see Dr. Sampat and he too is very professional. He tkes his time and asks a lot of questions to make sure I have th ebest treatment possible. I would definitely recommend Dr. Sampat.
I am usually not one to leave a review. I have been a patient of Dr. Kowalik for years when he was at his own practice. I had a visit in May for an exam and CL fitting. I am self pay and was told my balance and the end of the visit. I paid it. I received a bill from the office yesterday with yet another balance that is due to be paid. Because it wasn’t collected on the day of service for the CL portion of the exam. Who sends a bill 4 months after the fact. There was no insurance to run the claim through. So why did it take so long and why wasn’t it collect day of service.
Nurses seemed like they had better things to do. Kinda rude and not present when speaking. Waited for 2 months for a appointment. Then when I get there this morning they say we can't find your insurance we are just gonna bill you directly. No effort other then one phone call to a automated service which reveiled they took my insurance but was shortly dismissed. Staff seem uninterested in trying then continued about as if it didnt mater if the found the insurance to bill or not. Would not recommend staff and organization is sub par. as well as sanitation is rather disturbing. Everything was covered with dust and debris and no throw away things was used in the place you rest your chin as well as I witnessed no sanitation after use. Very concerning environment. Doctor seemed very kind and knowledgeable but the other staff I interacted was a different story
My appointment was fast, well done, and my doctor was nice. If you're planning on getting glasses here they do have frames, however it isn't the largest selection, and they have quite a bit more female frames than male frames. A lot of the frames they do carry are designer brands (if that's what you're looking for). Would recommend this place to others looking to have an eye exam.
Dr. Ramsey is wonderful. It really does make a difference to see an ophthalmologist. I am diabetic and received a more thorough, comprehensive exam than what I was getting at area optometrists. He also gave me my prescription without being asked so I could shop around for glasses. No pressure to buy on-site. He spotted an error with my wife's glasses that she got elsewhere immediately. Highest recommendation.
