Dr. Grace and her staff did excellent with my son, who is autistic. they made us feel at home and more importantly put his needs 1st. thank you so very much for everything.
Let me start off by saying, everything I've went through medically the last few years I know when something isn't right. Sunday around 3am I woke up to the worst pain, feeling as if someone was taking a knife and cutting me. This is the feeling I have when I am on the verge of passing a kodney stone. I normally wait it out because once it's dropped it'll pass fast. I normally keep medication on me my urologist writes due to this. BUT, with me just having the bypass I can no longer take this stuff. Here comes Monday, I'm still in excruciating pain, I go to the doctor and they did a urine culture and it says I have a uti and my oxalate crystals is high. I was then told it's just a uti and I'm swollen and thats why it hurts. I felt defeated and just got ny antibiotics and went home. After a few hours I was still dying, azo pills didnt help nothing. So I decided I'm going to the ER. Well I get there (mind you my insurance is crap). Well Dr. Turpin was the doctor and I was met with a urine culture ( already stated I had one) and asked if I have a STD. He went out and came back in and said UTI. I said sir respectfully I think it's a stone stuck. Well his reply was " you had a scan a little over two weeks ago on your stomach and nothing showed, a stone can't form within 2 week and the scan dont miss those. I dont want to expose you to more radiation. I asked for a ultra sound and was told tbey dont offer those. I was discharged and feeling unheard. 3 years ago the same doctor was on call, I went in regarding gallbladder attacks. He tested my blood said I was fine and I could go home. I said can we please do a scan and he said no we aren't able to do that here. I was sent home and a week later rushed by ambulance from Richmond hospital to Lexington to have 2 emergency surgeries because my gallbladder started leaking out. I went bc i had insurance. The next 2 weeks I didn't and well 35,000 later more medical debt. Skip to today, tomorrow Will mark 7 days of this horrible pain. I have been on antibiotics for days now. Pyridum and azo around the clock. Nothing helps. At around 6:00 I passed the non existing kidneys stone. The one that was impossible! I still feel like I have more but at this point I guess ill pass it when I pass it. Going through cancer this year and much more I know to fight for myself but I was just hurting to bad and let what they said be. So thank you Stanford Hospital for once again failing me and taking all my monies. :)
I went to the ER last night for bleeding during early pregnancy and the doctor was phenomenal Melissa Haddix is a great er doctor told me it was due to endometrial bleeding and now I'm not as worried and im just pleased with this place 10/10 would recommend
I delivered my second child at the birthing spa a little over a week ago. The experience was phenomenal! Everything about my experience at the Birthing Spa surpassed any and all of my expectations. Dr. Miller is everything you would want for an OB, such a great doctor. The nursing staff, (specifically Tara, Kenzie, and Abe) I could go on and on for days how wonderful and lovely they each were. Each went above and beyond what they had to do. They were supportive, knowledgeable, encouraging, and so incredibly kind. Birth is such a vulnerable time and Dr. Miller and staff at the birthing spa really care for the patients and it’s evident. Seriously do not have a single negative thing to say about our experience there. Wonderful place!
I recently delivered my son at the birthing spa in Stanford and would 1000% recommend to others. While I did have to end up having an emergency csection (the reason for my son's heart rate dropping several times while in active labor will forever be a mystery since there were/are no health concerns for either of us), Jamie and the nurses at the birthing spa went above and beyond to make a traumatic situation a little easier. Kelli and Dakota specifically were amazing, so kind, compassionate, and if it wasn't for them, I don't know if I would have recovered so well (especially emotionally). Both Kelli and Dakota were very supportive to my partner as well, especially during the emergency csection and immediately following it. Jamie and Dr. Miller both did an amazing job with my actual procedure and were very supportive postpartum and Jamie has been beyond understanding/supportive.
