The care team here is top notch, I had a great experience with Kate Mueller. I’ve been to sleep specialists in 3 different states and this practice was by far the most knowledgeable on the latest advancements in the study of sleep disorders and treatment. I highly recommend this office, specifically for people with Narcolepsy.
I have been Dr. McConnell’s patient for years and he is awesome to work with. I’ve had 5 sleep medicine doctors over the years and Dr. McConnell is by far the best. He will take time to answer my questions, even when I ask the same ones over again. I see reviews that give less than 5 stars due to the staff. I wish that could be a separate rating so the reviews regarding medical treatment are not misleading. Yes, there have been issues with staff over the years, but the long term employees know there stuff and will work to get issues resolved.
Dr. McConnell was very informative and helpful. The office staff and follow up has not been great. Almost impossible to get a live person on the phone and get answers or it could be days before getting a call back leaving a message. He comes highly recommended in the medical community and I wish the support staff was the same.
I was referred here to handle my diagnosis of sleep apnea. I never had a problem with the staff, never had a problem with my sleep apnea nurse. Never did meet Mr McConnell. Having said that the reason I provided a four star.. it appears that I owed some money to this establishment and they had the wrong address but the right phone number. I received a call one day from a collection agency. I immediately paid $ 104 that was requested. What rubbed me the wrong way is that in order for this collection agency to call me they needed my phone number...of which this doctor's office already had and could have simply made the phone call themselves. I did think about leaving a lower score. As I've noticed a pattern with these Google reviews. All the negativity seems to have a pattern to the office staff. The truth is doctors are doctors...they're not business owners... it's an insult to business owners if any doctor thinks they can fill both shoes . Having said that they need to smarten up the office staff here. They need a professional office manager and I do not mean take a secretary and promote them. Cheers and best of luck to you guys.
UPDATED 10-14-2021: I found a wonderful surgeon that is giving me surgery for my severe sleep apnea, one month after the surgery I need to go to another doctor to have my Inspire device actived and she recommended Dr. McConnell, I told her that I was discharged from his practice due to lies told by his office staff and that I wasn't allowed to discuss this with Dr. McConnell because his staff blocked me from discussing it with him. My surgeon asked if she could call Dr. McConnell and ask him if he would see me and I agreed. His office then called me to schedule my appointment and then 2 days later canceled it. So again, I don't think Dr. McConnell is aware of what his staff is doing in his name. It's quite sad, because he is a great doctor with a horrible staff at the helm. I had hoped that I would have been able to give a better review, but unfortunately that situation progressively gets worse and worse, never better. My interactions with Dr. McConnell himself have always been great, however, his office staff are very unprofessional and rude and I am being refused the opportunity to speak with the doctor about these issues. This doesn't seem to track with what I know about the doctor and I am unsure if he knows about these issues. Hid practice has a lot of negative reviews which are mostly about his staff, because of this, I'm not sure if he is aware of my request to speak with him. I feel that most doctors would like the opportunity to speak with a patient who has asked to speak with them about these types of issues and the multiple doctor's and other staff within the medical community that I have told about this situation strongly agree with me. I have complete faith that Dr. McConnell is also a doctor that would like that opportunity. I would like to believe that I will get the chance to finally discuss this with the doctor so I can update my review and provide a better rating in the future.
