Booked an appointment eight months in advance to get established with a specific doctor whom I had researched thoroughly. Office called to cancel appointment due to the doctor “not being in that day”. Tried to push me off on another provider. Will now have to wait another 6 months+ to get established with another doctor.

I have been a atient at BJC @the Highlands for about 13 years. Today i ended my servicrs witj that office. When Dr.Wanda Terrell was practicing there the office was awesome. I could get appointments in a reasonable time. When Dr. Johnson came the office seemed to have changed. I did see her twice. The office called me the end of February/early March to inform me that Dr Johnson was no longer with the office and told me that Dr Victoria Johnson was taking her place. I was given an appointment to see her on October 13. I had a medical problem and called the office this morning (September 30) to see if i could get in. The person i spoke to told me she just got a cancellation and i could come at 2:30 this afternoon. What a relief! About 12 minutes later i get a call telling me that Dr Phillips would not be able to see me for the problem I was having and that the appointment would have to be cancelled. Disappointed i said ok and that i would see Dr Phillips on October 13. The person who had called said no, as that appointment was cancelled when THEY gave me the appointment for today. She said that Dr Phillips was taking appointments for NEXT YEAR. That was the final straw. I called Humana and was recommended to try one of the senior services facilities. I gave them a call and can get in Friday for screening and can see a doctor October 24. If I’m not satisfied with the change i can select another doctor or facility (i have a PPO). Its hard to make this change but i cannot play with the staff and changes that are taking place at BJC @the Highlands.

Was seeing Lea Johnson before she left, ever since she left I have not been satisfied. Went downhill. Very unprofessional and unorganized. Office definitely went down hill I even witnessed the MAs about to fight, WOULD NOT RECOMMEND

When Dr. Seymour was at BJC Highlands in 2023, this was a great office. However, after she left the practice, things went south quickly. I was asked to switch to another primary care provider, Dr. Theuerkauf. They were nice at first and continued to refill my monthly prescription until my appt. in July 2023 with Dr. Theuerkauf since I would be still seeing a doctor in their office. But then I received a call from the office stating the appointment would need to be pushed back to Sept. 2023 as he was out on leave, and I understood, this happens sometimes. I asked if there was another doctor I could see but they said the earliest would be in October 2023. I decided to wait it out rather than waiting longer when I was trying to make sure I was going to be seen so I could continue receiving my monthly prescription without causing too much of a fuss. I received a call saying they were not sure when Dr. Theuerkauf would be returning and to call back in 2 weeks to reschedule my appt. but it shouldn't be to difficult to reschedule, so I stuck with this doctor again. Then about 1 week after I was originally rescheduled to see Dr. Theuerkauf, I received a mychart message from the office informing me Dr. Theuerkauf left the practice 9/18/23. I called and they said I would need to be switched to another doctor at the Highlands office to continue having my monthly prescription filled, so I scheduled an appt. with Dr. Cobb. They again confirmed they would keep sending in my refill prescriptions since I was scheduled to see Dr. Cobb in early March 2024 as this was the earliest available appt. within their office, and I was added to the wait list for an early appt. if one came up. Then low and behold, I get mychart message in Nov. 2023 saying Dr. Cobb's schedule had been revised and my appt. was in the wrong time slot and it was rescheduled for April 2024. At this time I thought it was not a huge deal since they would keep sending in my monthly prescription but NO. They refused to send in my prescription for Nov. because I had not been seen by a doctor in 6 months. I called them asking why they would agree to continue sending it in then refuse to do so when none of this was due to me rescheduling but was due to doctors leaving the practice and them rescheduling my most recent appt. because they screwed up. I was then told I could do a virtual visit (VCC) and that the RN/doctor on the virtual visit could evaluate and then send in the refill for my prescription because at this point I had been without it for 3 weeks. Two days before that appt. VCC cancelled my virtual appt. because they said they in fact could not prescribe my specific medication yet. She explained they recently informed offices this was going to be an option for my medication in the future likely not until 2024. I called them once again explaining that they were wrong and the virtual visit was cancelled on their end and they finally sent in my Nov. 2023 refill. Due to the type of medication I take, it was out of stock at my pharmacy and all pharmacies within 25 mile range so I didn't want to call Highlands until I had a pharmacy that had it in stock because the last two calls I was treated like garbage, so much so I was left in tears. Finally in Dec. 2023, still having not my Nov. 2023 prescription filled, I made an appt. with another doctor with another hospital affiliation and was scheduled for new patient appt. for Jan. 2024. I cancelled my appt. with Dr. Cobb and have not looked back. Do yourself a favor and avoid BJC Medical Group at the Highlands at all costs, it is not worth your sanity.

I was seeing Dr. Tyrell, when she left I started seeing the NP, Kristen. Dr. Tyrell and Kristen were both amazing. However, my last appointment with Kristen they registered me with a new doctor that doesn’t have any availability until over a year. They ensured me that during this year I would still be able to be seen if something came up. I’ve reached out multiple times to have my diagnosis managed and they’ve continuously been extremely rude and refused to see me. I called one last time today and Elaine yelled at me constantly and called me a child for being frustrated. It is obvious they do not care about their patients nor managing their care. I’ve asked for a manger to call me 4 times now and they tell me I will get a call the next day, but I never do.
