Catawba Valley Medical Center

I’ve been here a couple times for tests. Most recently, the lady up front walked me all the way to where I needed to go, to ensure I found it, then afterwards another lady walked me back to the lobby. I appreciate the help, avoiding anxiety on my part. Exams were done well and professionally.

We had a surrogacy birth at CVMC birthing center in November and the Obstetrical and Pediatric team of nurses and doctors were world class, compassionate, and caring. Our surrogate's delivering OB was Dr. Harraghy from A Women's View -- she was excellent and took such great medical care of her and comprehensive holistic care of all of us throughout. The nurses went above and beyond putting the pumped colostrum in syringes for our baby to feed throughout the hospital stay. Great work and many thanks to the entire healthcare team.

So I'd give the staff there zero stars if I could. I came into the ER at 11pm for my issue. I sat and waited 3 hours so when almost everyone was gone out of the waiting room there were 4 couples left myself included I also had been there longer than any of those other people waiting a brown haired nurse cam out and called 2 ppls names all of which came in AFTER me. I asked why they were taking them before me and she rudley replied we dont take people in order we take people per priority. To say someone else is priority over me is crazy bc you are a nurse not a doctor who are you to say just by the few brief things you find out about us when we come in that those people were PRIORITY over me??? You dont know what's wrong with me nor those other people so who are you to say I wasn't a priority???? There was also a young girl and her mother that had been in there for at least an hour and a half the girls nose was bleeding for that whole hour and a half she was waiting and they took other people before her as well and they people they deemed "PRIORITY" didnt look too uncomfortable or sick!!! This is crazy this hospital has a horrible staff and is why they have a 2.8 review rating. To make someone wait 3 hours then say someone is priority over you not knowing your condition is messed up. I hope the rude nurses that work there get a refresher on your job bc you guys SUCK. The ER staff SUCKS!!! Horrible

I just wanted to share my experience from my ER visit last Sat/Sun. As a cardiac patient on blood thinners coming to the ER after a nasty fall I can say it was a wonderful experience. I was taken to triage quickly and from there things moved pretty quickly. Every staff member was professional and gentle with my situation. I was treated very well and with compassion. Everyone worked together as a team during my stay. This is not my first visit to the ER but one I thought needed shared. Thank you Catawba Valley Medical, grateful for the care!

I had an excellent experience at this hospital. The staff was amazing they were very thorough educational compassionate and took very good care of me as I went through gallbladder surgery and sphincterotomy. My nurses were top-notch. Tammy was excellent and I can't remember the names of everyone else but they all took the best care of me. My doctors and surgeons and surgical tube were phenomenal. I had a bad experience at fry Hospital so I was very thankful to find a hospital amazing as catawba. I highly recommend this Hospital for anyone in need.
