I visited the ER with a broken foot after a dirt bike crash. I interacted with 5 or 6 people and every one of them was friendly and professional. They got me in right away; x-rays within 20mins and results 20min after that and I was out the door 15min later with an AirCast and crutches. Hope you never need to go but if you do, you’re in good hands. **Updated** The comments above about the staff and speed of care remain true. However, I need to be clear that I left the ER—and remain—seriously under-medicated for a crushed foot injury. I understand physicians must be cautious about prescribing narcotics, but the medication I was given provides almost no meaningful relief. I am not a local patient and won’t see my home doctor for another 24 hours. When I called back to ask about alternatives, I was told to “take some Motrin as well” and dismissed. This is despite having three clearly fractured metatarsals visible on the x-ray. I was not there for vague complaints or seeking drugs—I had an obvious, documented injury. As a result, I have gone nearly 20 hours with virtually no sleep, experiencing near-unbearable pain, counting down the hours between doses, and reduced to tears multiple times. The professionalism of the staff was excellent, but the lack of adequate pain management has left me feeling disregarded and suffering needlessly. As other reviews have state, do better.

The treatment was okay. The billing is ridiculous. Don't waste your time here. They will continually get your insurance wrong, and then when you finally pay off everything, they will wait a year later to drop another random bill I can't get any peace from the vultures that run this stuff

Ran unnecessary tests on me over high blood pressure! After three hours, they sent me home telling me they don't treat high blood pressure! Now they want $900.00. Do yourself a favor, and GO SOMEWHERE ELSE!! This place should be shut down.

The ER staff were awesome. They fixed up my right cheek and my bottom lip. The nurses and doctors were super gentle when they were cleaning my wounds. This was in 2023, and I've pretty much healed up with hardly any scars.

Worst Hospital around, they're not equipped for ANYTHING, whatever the issue is it's always "we're not equipped to handle this". Their staff is very dismissive, they give morphine to addicts but Tylenol for legitimate issues. I recently went in for an issue and they didn't listen to anything I said, gave me an antibiotic (that I didn't need) and sent me home, I went to Richmond and it turned out I needed surgery. DO BETTER Mercy Health
