It was clearly an old medical office that has been fitted with beds. It wasn’t the most comfortable place to sleep and when the staff checks on you, you’ll be blinded. They did follow up promptly after the test and were kind.
My 9 year old went for the night with her father. She was so upset, crying nonstop for awhile, and extremely uncomfortable with wires inside of her nostrils and everywhere else...it was just too much for her at this moment in time. She has a fear of doctors as it is and this experience did not help. First of all not being able to understand anything the man was saying was very frustrating and left them without answers or just a simple understanding of what was going on with some things. After an hour and half of her crying and freaking out her father decided to leave and try it again down the road or look into alternatives. The atmosphere was not kid friendly or welcoming and the male nurse acted annoyed with her and got very upset and hateful. When taking off the electrodes he ripped hers off very rough like and she still 4 days later has marks on her leg That look like they just happened yesterday. The other ones on the leg that she took off herself, very gentle like, has no marks whatsoever. He didnt have to be as rough as he was because he was upset they were leaving. This was such a negative experience for her.
My appointment was scheduled a couple of months in advanced which is to be expected. I was surprised that upon arrival I had waited in one sitting room, then was moved to another one for a longer wait before being seen. A bit of a conundrum, but I think it has to do with their office space being small in the front. However, the Dr was nice and professional. I went in on a Thursday for my appointment and was in for the sleep study by Saturday evening which is superb timing. Anwar, the night technician, was super friendly and explained the process in great detail so I would understand everything. I was impressed with his knowledge. Overall, I had a very good sleep study experience with the center, and would recommend them to others. The only suggestion I have is to remodel the facility, which I believe they may already be doing.
Very Negative experience with this sleep center. It started with the questionnaire. I was searching for a sleep study and found this location. They had a new patient questionnaire to fill out. I did so and when two weeks went by with no contact I called. They immediately setup a consultation appointment. I went in, gave my insurance information, advised I already did the questions online. Within 10 minutes I was in the office with the doctor who went thru some questions. The doctor told me to open my mouth, he looked inside and said I had a narrow throat and would need the sleep study. I went back to the front counter. This was on a Monday. The lady at the desk told me they had a Thursday or Friday appointment. I took Friday. They give you a list of things you need to do the day of the sleep study and make sure you are aware if you dont cancel within 48 hours they will charge you a $200 no show/no call fee. I showed up Friday and they cant find me in the computer, they see no appointment. The receptionist couldnt even get my name right. every-time she would use my last name she got it wrong, as in no where near the pronunciation, its a very easy name to say. Finally she calls someone. She was told that my pre-authorization never went thru so they canceled my appointment. They never notified me. They do indeed have my correct number on file because they sent me a text reminder for my Monday appointment. I called and I spoke with my insurance provider who stated they received no sort of authorization request. So they never sent the pre-authorization for it to go through. No follow up call to apologize or offer an explanation. I would give 0 stars if google allowed for it.
The people that work here are awesome, they do everything they can to make you feel welcome. However, it takes so long to get back and speak with a doctor, and they schedule too many people at once. There's two waiting rooms, both are relatively small, and they take you from one and stick you in the other. The first waiting room usually has 10-15 people in it and it seats only 10. People have to stand and wait by the door. Getting to the second waiting room usually takes 1-2 hours, and you wait almost an hour in the second waiting room. Then you speak with the doctor for 5-10 minutes max. It's annoying. It sucks. They really need to expand and work on getting people back to see the doctor faster especially since speaking with the doctor only takes 5 MINUTES.
