Let me tell you about Yelena Krishchenko. I always dread when she is the doctor. My son has a life threatening genetic abnormality. Tonight I took him in for evaluation after consulting with Childrens on the way (who called ahead). From the moment she walked in- she was condescending. She asked me why I would contact Genetics & not his primary- since they are so high up. Then, she sends the nurse in with discharge paperwork. I asked the nurse if the doctor had been in contact with the geneticist again- she was surprised she hadn't been back in. So, she pops her head in- I tell her its clear she knows nothing of my sons diagnosis because his xray looks worse than it did before. She says, "Well, I know I don't but thats why I asked you." She says, "What do you want me to do?" I said, "Maybe call Childrens back?" Her nurse brought my son chips & offered an enema. She notated in my sons chart that I was rude & that despite her instructions he was given chips. Her NURSE gave them to him, while asking if he wanted an enema & I had to tell her that Childrens literally wrote in his chart that he can't have those for the ER doctor. Oh & guess what Childrens told her? That he could be admitted. I plan on reporting her to whatever medical board I can. She has zero knowledge of a single thing with complex kids & clearly lacks communication with her staff. She can call me rude all she wants. She would know rude when she sees it.
My husband was in the hospital for the 2nd time in a year for breathing issues. Each time he was given meds and a breathing treatment. Doctor last night wanted to know if we had a nebulizer at home that he could use? We weren't sure. He explained he really needed to use one. They gave us all the tubing he would need. We did end up having one. I called back less than 12 hours later to inform We did have one. Our doctor We had seen was gone. They informed me he would need to come back in for the doctor working now to see him??????Are you freaking serious??? Less than 12 hours later and they need to rack up more bills, get us out in the cold weather with breathing issues, disrupt patience that are having true emergencies just to prescribe his meds the doctor wanted him to have last night. Now this is totally unacceptable. No wonder it is a band-aid hospital. It was too hard for them to even accomplish this task without trying to make more money. Very disappointed with their health care. Michael Johnson
Both of my kids were in a four wheeler/dirt bike accident. They were both ejected and hurt. We waited in the er waiting room waiting to be seen for over an hour. They were both showing signs of something being wrong internally. I told the front desk staff she didn’t do anything and as I walked away she actually was laughing. I kept it together but inside was very upset. My son’s fingers were tingling and he got sick (all signs of spine injury or internal bleeding). Finally we got to be seen the triage nurse wasn’t nice at all. I’m guessing she doesn’t have kids or a heart because she was very unkind. Then it turns out my son’s ct scan showed internal bleeding he was flown by helicopter to children’s. My daughter thank God checked out ok. It was very scary the whole thing. I want this to be taken care of so the next adult or kid is actually taken seriously!!!!!!!!!! Especially when they’re were in a wreck they should be top priority!!!!!! The only two nice people that showed compassion was Robin our nurse and the Dr. I can’t brag enough about Robin. She was seriously so comforting and I was so thankful to have her as our nurse. Parkland Bonne Terre DO BETTER!!!
Went in to ultrasound early Saturday due to being sick for a couple months. Ultrasound complete and next thing I know I'm spending night at Parkland. And having surgery that day. I cannot express my gratitude and satisfaction of how amazing my experience was. Nurses went above and beyond, making me feel less anxious. I was always talked to and informed, very clean environment, very! I used to hear others say go to the city, not these ERs but how things have evolved. If it weren't for having four new holes in my belly , I would have sworn I just had a pleasant hotel stay-almost. Please fill out the daisy award that you can let them know about a worker you want to brag on. Shout out to Lindsey in day and late night nurse Linda who were just wonderful to me!
Went in for a problem with my ear. Lady at front desk fantastic, not a long wait. Then doctor came into room, seemed annoyed with my problem. Looked at my ear, and basically told me to put ear drops in, when all he had to do was flush my ear out. Then a lady came in, for my information and seemed like she didn't want to be there, both her and doctor very unprofessional and not helpful at all.
