The Louisville & Fort Knox VA are full of some of the kindest people I’ve ever met. Totally unbeknownst to me, they sent a care package since I’m pregnant - and it included way more than I ever would have expected. Even prior to being pregnant, the VA system has gone above and beyond in making sure I’m taken care of - more than my active duty military medical care. I couldn’t be more thankful for the wonderful team that’s taken care of me thus far. Thank you for making veterans like myself feel heard, taken care of, and supported ❤️
Good luck! If you choose to use Community Care outside the VA....you will be forgotten.
It started out great no issues. Then the VA police violated my civil rights. I stood up for myself and filed a complaint above Rob Rex, and since that has happened, not only has my treatment become deplorable. My medical care has suffered at the hands of the directors office and nobody Not one time called to interview me about anything that just goes to show. They really don’t care about their veterans. They have a bunch of business people in that directors office treating the VA like a business and the only people that suffer the veterans. I hope somebody sees us and reaches out to me. OIG is on hold because of the government shut down so the only hope I have to rectify this discrimination and mistreatment has been paused because a bunch Politicians can’t agree with each other. They’re real Harms going on inside this hospital, You hear the joke all the time “ oh my God I’d never go to the VA” And that for employees and veterans. I’ve been told by section chief to go elsewhere for medical care even though I’m a disabled veteran. I’ve even asked for records pertaining to incidents and question and the VA foyer office won’t give them to me. And honestly, I don’t have the energy to file a measly lawsuit against the VA for not following foia guidelines. I really hope that when the next administration comes into this hospital, they They take a long look at what the past administration did, like take away the prompt on the phone that allows a veteran to complain. Send veterans through endless prompts that never stop all that started when this new administration took hold. I’ll ask you this Rob Rex, How about a meeting? I’ll bring what I have. You guys will can show me what it is. You say I’ve done but I promise a camera wouldn’t have captured your allegations anywhere because they never happened. Yes, a meeting. I will bring my Lawyer. You can bring yours and we can really take a look at this.
I thought that having chest pains. It would be a good idea to come here .and usually it is . They were outstanding. They are truly busy.. I thought that they didn't care. But I was wrong. There is a long list .and they stayed until 2000 to finish me .. when it comes down to it. They saved my life. Thank you
They care for my husband very well. They put the Veteran first. The nurse at vitals check-in saved my husband's life by finding an issue while checking his vitals before an appointment. He was totally asymptomatic and his rates were fluctuating. She just happen to catch it at the lowest, 35 bpm. We had no idea his heart rate was below the danger zone. He was admitted, taken to ICU, transfered to our local Heart Institute and a pacemaker installed. Yes, he fussed the entire time. God sent an Angel and we call her Nurse!
