Coming here for almost 3 years with my 4yrold with persistent cough. They gave me medicine and sent me home. 3 years and no improvement for my son. Medication cost $120 with insurance, went up to $170, I googled it and learned it was being discontinued. Why didn’t my provider communicate this? Why didn’t they offer more affordable options. They want you in and out in 20min. Treat all the cases the same. We went to a different Dr. at Nemours. Gave me CLEAR explanation and a better understanding on how we are going to help my son, an ACTUAL PLAN. Game medication options $45 not $170! Oh and apparently when my kid has an episode/ sick there is an actual SICK plan we can follow instead of going straight to antibiotics and prednisone. These Dr. need to go to third world countries and learn how to treat every patient differently and all kinda of cases. Do research, make a difference in Americas healthcare. 3 allergy doctors, Pulmonologists, ENT and Chatgbt finally gives me some reasonable insight besides give me a bunch of medicine that doesnt work. I asked, why does my son cough as a first sign for a cold? -In some kids, instead of a runny nose, the mucus drips down the back of the throat before you ever see a runny nose — and this triggers a cough reflex. -Underdeveloped Sinus Drainage •Young children have immature sinuses and drainage patterns, so mucus is less likely to “flow out” as a runny nose early on. •Instead, it backs up and drips internally, again triggering coughing first.
Dr Patel was wonderful with my son’s issues. We were told so many wrong things until we saw Dr Patel. He is so great and sits to talk with you. We are so grateful for him!

I love Dr Patel. He has been here for my kids for just over 10 years. He takes his time in explaining, he is kind one of the best doctors my kids have ever had. He's preform procedures on my kids and each time my kids just improved with all his recommendations I would not trade him.. I really recommend him to kids with asthma, kids that don't sleep well, if they suffer from allergies He is the one to see..
