Pikeville Medical Center Inc., Sleep Center

I've overall had excellent experiences at PMC. The staff was excellent. The nurses listened and helped in every way they possibly could. I was admitted there for 2 days. I was treated with respect. Fast forward to tonight. I went to the ED for moderate-severe pain in my lower back, lower abdomen, lungs and chest. The doctor on call (a traveling doctor), Dr. Dubrow, Marcus, was loud. He was loud and had horrible bed side manners. I was discharged before my chest x-ray had even come back. They was he spoke and the way he treated me was honestly degrading. I love this hospital and their staff, but that doctor needs to pipe down just a tad bit and actually listen to his patients. Oh, and he claimed my pain was from a small, dry cough that I have. Pitiful.

I’m not certain of her name, we think Alexa on 8th floor and Joseph were a huge help while we stayed overnight with a patient. Both went above and beyond to help make our visit as comfortable as possible! She was on nights and he was day shift. Both were very professional and treated the patient and us with respect. Also must mention how helpful an RN from 7th floor was as well. He was also so respectful and knowledgeable! I believe his name was Bailey Hall. All 3 of these young people were showing exemplary leadership and integrity! All deserve recognition!

I am from Harlan and it's about 1.5 hrs. Away. Have seen multiple doctors and been impressed with them all especially Dr. Hall who is doing my knee replacement surgery in 2 days. The staff has also been the nicest & most professional of any hospital I've ever been to. If I could I'd give 10 stars to them.

Great hospital, from the Dr's to the house keeping. Everyone took really good care of my wife at the ER. Its a very clean hospital and well staffed. if anyone left a bad review, try going to HMG or Ballad hospitals in VA or TN. Then leave a review. Its well worth the travel for Healthcare in my area.

If you have a family member you can stay overnight but you have to sleep sitting straight up in a chair. They refuse to offer reclining chair (fire hazard) and must wait on list the be in single room where you can have this ... Told it's better to stay home but one staff member ... Also told if I slept for m the floor I would be removed from property l. HORRIBLE WAY TO TREAT PEOPLE... THOUGHT IT WAS A CHRISTIAN HOSPITAL? SAD HERE FOR AT LEAST 3 MORE DAYS. MAYBE WILL GET REPLY TO THIS BUT I DOUBT IT.
