First visit to Immunologist. Started working on treatment immediately. So relieved!

Dr. Heather Clark My experience with Dr. Heather Clark was not a positive one. I was referred to her by my PCP after experiencing months of breathing problems. I was quite ill and needed help. During my initial visit Dr. Clark was aloof and disinterested. She was dismissive of my symptoms. Following my pulmonary tests she refused to return my calls regarding questions about the results. I had no diagnosis, no treatment and no guidance about what to do. After a week of feeling in the dark I received a message stating I must book another office appointment (first available in 2 months) to get answers to my questions. There was no offer to help me feel better in the meantime. Dr. Clark’s (and likely Atrium’s) priorities are very clear – it’s profits above patient care. I now have a new pulmonology team – one not affiliated with Atrium Wake Forest – who genuinely care about my health. They are readily available when I need them and have me on the path to feeling better.

I was so thankful and relieved with Dr.Cristiano and the other gentlemen whom I wish I had written down his name. They listened to all of our concerns, did not rush us, checked out daughter and was just amazing. Dr. Cristiano was direct, honest, and transparent and gave us a game plan to help treat my daughter's severe eczema. We drove out an hour away to see them because our local pediatrician was never available and we kept getting other docs that gave us the run around. Thank you to both of you for your amazing service. I am hopeful the treatment plan will work.

I am absolutely disgusted by the way we were treated today by Dr. Jennifer Thompson at Atrium Health in winston salem. She yelled at me, accused me of lying about my child’s documented serious reactions, and completely dismissed months of symptom tracking, videos, and food logs — all because our test results didn’t match our reality. She didn’t ask for history, rolled her eyes, and then fabricated the visit summary to cover herself when we stated we would be reporting her This is not just unprofessional — it’s dangerous. REACTION/SYMPTOMS ARE MORE VALUABLE THAN TEST RESULTS!!! Gaslighting a parent trying to advocate for their sick child is cruel and inexcusable. We have filed a formal complaint, and I would strongly warn other families — especially those with complex allergic or immune issues — to stay far away from this provider. She should be ashamed of her behavior!

Allergist was excellent at diagnosing my issues and developing a course of action. Staff and nurses were excellent when I returned monthly for shots.
