This was weeks ago, but I'm still not okay with it, so just going to leave this review and move on. Consent when it comes to AI isn't genuinely a thing at this practice from my experience. The doctor I saw did ask me if I would be okay with her using AI to record/transcribe the software. I asked her how long that data would be stored and she didn't know, so I declined. Unfortunately, while she seemed fine with me declining to be recorded during the appointment, she expressed that it was not a problem because she would just summarize everything we talked about to the AI after my appointment... That kind of defeats the whole point of me not consenting to having all of that sensitive information fed into this unknown third party software if my doctor just goes and spits out everything I just said to it after I've left. Maybe consider adding a comprehensive consent form for before the appointment so that patients can decide whether to proceed with the appointment or seek care elsewhere? Minor but still not great points regarding my experiences at this location: Some of the administrative staff is rather disorganized. This was my second appointment at this location. My first one was cancelled at the last minute because the doctor I'd scheduled to see called out sick first thing in the morning. Fine, it happens. What wasn't fine was the fact that their internal communication was lackluster enough that I had to be one to inform the insurance registration person that my doctor had apparently called out sick that morning after I received a voicemail message from a different admin staff member informing me of that fact *after* I'd already been checked in and waiting. It was like talking to brick wall when I let her know about that message. I had to ask if she could set up a new appointment for me. She didn't even ask if I was okay with seeing a different doctor or even what day or time I could come in. I had to be the one to ask her to cancel the new appointment since she took it upon herself to randomly assign me to a different doctor for hours later that same day without even asking if I could afford to keep waiting for the rest of the day. Last straw for me was the nurse walking away with the needle still in my arm for my blood draw during my last appointment leading to blood spurting across my arm. She was super apologetic and did her best to clean me up, but I was just ready to leave and not come back by that point. Please get it together.
The only reason I give this place 3 stars is Dr.Choi and the front staff they are really 5 stars ! I've had many issues with other doctors for my 3 children referrals never sent to insurance problems never handled as soon as I switched practices first week , 3 years of stuff was handled that's sad and irresponsible on Temples behalf , this used to be a great practice now these days it takes 15 minutes or longer to answer the phone, I'm surprised Dr. Choi is still there if and when she does leave I will leave this practice as well.
Clean plenty of hand sanitizers and not a long wait
