I cannot thank the team at Cardinal Glennon hospital for all they have done. Nobody likes their children in the hospital, let alone the surgery wing. The WHOLE team went above and beyond to make sure my daughter and my family were taken care of. Everywhere my daughter went, she was greeted with a smile and cared for as if she was their own. They took my son to play, let him eat lunch with them at the nurses station and surprised my daughter with a stuffed animal that looked like the therapy dog she loved on. To all of the nurses, doctors, cleaning crew and even security at Cardinal Glennon, Thank you from the bottom of my heart

Every SSM hospital ive been to has been the most wholesome and comforting to my family. I had my daughter at SSM in Mt. Vernon, IL. She was diagnosed with a tumor at 6 months and we were sent to this hospital for further research. This hospital, the nurses, the doctors, the local priest were all so wonderful and uplifting. We're new parents, it was hard and terrifying to be told to go into the Costas center for our baby. Every appointment we went to, they gave my baby toys, played with her and also comforted us. We not only were met with professionalism, but also made genuine friends with the surgeons, doctors, nurses and anyone there. It was a very scary time but with the constant research and dedication from SSM, our daughter was finally diagnosed with a benign tumor and went into surgery. She now is 16 months old, shes chunky, happy and healthy. I still think about everyone there who was good to us and my little girl. God bless them.

I was referred here by my nurse to receive a car seat. Before my scheduled appointment, I called to explain that I had gone into labor and would not be able to come in. Despite this, both Kim and another staff member I spoke with were extremely rude and dismissive. Let me emphasize—I was in active labor, having contractions every five minutes—and the way I was spoken to was completely uncalled for. I don’t understand why people choose to work in a program meant to help others if they’re going to treat people in need with such disrespect. When I mentioned that I was delivering at Mercy Hospital off Ballas, the response I received was, “That’s not gonna happen.” The attitude and lack of compassion were shocking. No one should be treated this way, especially during such a vulnerable time. Frankly, no car seat is worth dealing with that level of rudeness.

My daughter was treated in both the Emergency Department and the PICU, where she spent a week. We had a very positive experience with the staff and felt that we were well treated. I am very thankful for the kindness, professionalism and goodness of the Cardinal Glennon team.

We take my daughter here for her ophthalmology specialist. They have taken her from 'legally blind' to 'her vision is perfect besides the slight lazy eye'! We love them! The dr in training (not sure correct terminology) guy we saw yesterday was awesome! He put a sticker on his nose for my daughter to look at and almost walked out without raking it off hehe. The ladies there are all great too! So sweet! My daughter was really scared of the dilation drops but the lady made it so quick and painless that it was no big deal!
