This is a no. Do yourself a favor and drive the extra 15 mins to Mercy at 270 and 40. The bedside manner will be better. The facility will be cleaner. You will get better answers than just to log into your My Chart and go see your doctor. Really? And don't use the restrooms. Neither of the two I tried were clean.
This hospital is truly exceptional. I had never been admitted to a hospital before, so I came in terrified and unsure of what to expect. From the moment I arrived, every part of the experience was made as comfortable as possible. While no one enjoys being in the hospital, I felt genuinely cared for by every nurse, doctor, PA, psychiatrist, and even the food staff. I arrived feeling like a complete mess and left feeling stable for the first time in a month. The food was great, too! If I ever have another emergency, this is absolutely where I’ll return. I just want all of you to know how deeply appreciated you are. Your work isn’t easy, but you truly heal and help people every day. Special shoutout to Nurses Noura, Bill, Chloe, Z, Erin, Eboni, Ciarra, and Chelsea. Also shoutout to Dr Burihan, Dr Borreggine, and the food staff Brittany and Christina. Thank you so much!
Not sure where to begin. I'll start by saying my nurses, Emily & Katie were the "Best"!!! I would never go back to this hospital! Their goal is to keep you, run unnecessary tests, etc., to charge you as much as they can. My blood sugar was perfect yet they said they'd check it every 3 hours 🙄 I told them "NO". Went to order lunch & was told I was on a diabetic diet...WHAT?!? Food was lousy!!!! Asked for a banana with my lunch, they sent 1/2 of one!!! (wonder how they'll bill me for that!). Cardiologist came in & asked "how long has your arm been numb?" Me: "My arm was never dumb!!!". Nurse Practitioner then came in "How long have you been dizzy?" Me: "I was never dizzy! Where are you all getting this info!". To end this, I needed an ECHO done & read before they'd release me. Friday evening, around 6:15, they did my echo. Said they'd have it read by around 8:00 p.m. & if it was good, I could go home. Saturday at 1:00 I was STILL waiting!!! (Now they can charge for another day!). We (my husband & I) told our wonderful nurse that we were leaving! She contacted the Cardiologist (I'd have to sign paperwork stating I was leaving before being discharged). Within 1/2 hour he read the ECHO, results were good & I was discharged. I've heard similar stories but had no choice but to go there, will NOT go there again!!! I believe their goal is more about the money than the patient's care!!!!!
Absolutely worthless place. My other wise healthy, 34 year old husband suffered a heart attack, self admitted with continuing pains and they stuck him in the waiting room and refused to see him, noting there was “no room”. Funny, because when I came in with a miscarriage 5 months ago I was left lay in my own mess with no food or water for 14+ hours while a PA stood over me and told me that there were bigger emergencies they had to take care of, like heart attacks. Ironic. Every staff member in here on their phones with no sense of urgency or compassion. Trust me, you ARE bothering them. Asked the security for help wheeling my 250 pound husband in since I was pregnant- rolled his eyes at me. Sorry I interrupted your Facebook scrolling, sir. Went to big Mercy and they saw him right away, cause heart attacks are serious- go figure? Joint commission and complaints against licenses will be to follow. This whole place needs to be thrown out. Stay away.
This is the first time I have had to stay in a hospital overnight since I was a baby. I was a bit nervous. Everyone here from the Chaplain, doctors and nurses, food staff, pharmacists, and housekeeping, too, have been very kind and caring. The food here is amazing! Not what I expected hospital food to be like. I highly recommend this hospital. Keep up the great work! God Bless Y'all.
