OMG, received a call to "register" for my at home sleep study (why can't they just send me a link?). Because it's business hours, I was busy. Called back and have been on hold for THREE hours. Yeah, I could choose the call back option, but if I'm on a call or in a meeting, then it just repeates the cycle. This is SO typical of any Carillion specialty group. I'm thinking I'd rather drive out of town if I could get a warm body on the phone within 30 minutes. Carilion needs more competition than just little ole Lewis Gale. They practically have monopoly. Therefore they can suck and get away with it.

Despite the extensive amount of waiting, in which caused me to deduct a star, the specialist that assisted me was very professional and the nurse that performed my triage was pleasantly polite and relatable. She was very compassionate as well as considerate.

Dr Sofi could have cared less about seeing me. He left door open during my examine. He rushed thru my visit. Not concerned about my condition. They were 30 minutes behind. He sent his nurse in to give me medication. I asked would my insurance pay for it after I finished samples. She told me, she didn't know, they don't deal with insurance matters and if it didn't pay for it I'd be switched to something else. When I was checking out. I told them I didn't want to see him again. Receptionists told me I'd have to come back . I declined.

I am really not sure how many stars I should give Dr. Alam but I am not a completely happy patient. I have called three times to try and get my prescription corrected for Spiriva, my insurance will cover a 90 day supply for the same cost as a 30 day supply if worded correctly. Three weeks later and I have now just given up. Note: 1 puff once a day does not work for me is an additional problem.

My appointment was very frustrating. The physician taking my history was rude and insensitive. Almost felt as if I should leave. Did see Dr. Aziz, who ordered an additional test. One week has gone by without a phone call from these departments. All tests will be in Roanoke. The problem is I don't drive and need help from family members who work. I live 5 miles from Carillon Westlake facility.
