I cannot say enough good things about Dr. Scagnelli. From the very beginning, he walked with me through an incredibly difficult and uncertain time while we worked to find an accurate diagnosis. When answers were not immediately clear, he never rushed, dismissed concerns, or gave up. Instead, he listened carefully, explained every step, and continued to advocate for deeper research until we had clarity. His compassion and dedication made all the difference during a stressful and emotional journey. I always felt heard, respected, and supported not just as a patient, but as a person. Raleigh Neurology Pharmacy is great too! There is never a long wait and they are able to fill same day requests. The infusion center is amazing as well. The nurses went above and beyond to make sure I was comfortable and had what I needed. The reception staff is always helpful and kind. RNA is one of the best practices ever. My husband brags on them as well and he's not a patient. Thank you all at Raleigh Neurology Associates.
Dr Rukmini Menon was genuinely the rudest doctor I have ever been to. Genuinely did not even want to listen to my issues. Within 5 minutes she deemed my issues did not matter. I asked ‘what about my balance issues, and light and sound sensitivity?’ and she told me it would be a waste of both our time. To this day I still fall over when standing up, and get light sensitivity so bad randomly that I have to pull over on the road This was all from a referral too. I really do not recommend this office. Especially not that doctor. Cold, unfeeling, did not care about my issues because they weren’t “super serious”
Dr. Ryan Ghusayni and her entire team are truly exceptional. The staff is incredibly kind and consistently treats patients with great care and respect. The office runs seamlessly scheduling is easy, and everyone is organized and friendly.
While I’ve had good experiences with Dr. Kirk and Scott Idhe, I am significantly less impressed with the administrative staff. I had an appointment this morning. I got a reminder last week, then again twice yesterday to fill out the paperwork, and even received a link to the telehealth call less than 2 hours beforehand. Sat on the call for 45 minutes before calling the office only to learn “We canceled that appointment.” Oh, did you? Thank you for not informing me, the patient, about the cancelation and for sending me reminders and a link the day of. I did check my emails and message history and confirmed I did not receive any sort of cancelation notice. The next available appointment is in mid-November—5 months after my last appointment! And the one before that was in January because they canceled the day before another appointment this spring. If I wasn’t likely to be moving out of state in less than a year, I would change doctors.
Terrible communications. Frequently phone wait times are 15 minutes or more. It’s impossible to get up with them. Once there, the care is good. The PA assigned to me didn’t tell Dr. Scagnelli that I wasn’t getting better. They didn’t file a request for prior authorization when they said repeatedly for 3 weeks they had. The nurse line is a crap shoot. There are helpful nurses and rude dismissive nurses.
