I am preparing to leave Ascension Fisher‘s right now and I couldn’t leave before writing this review. I was at Ascension during a very challenging and vulnerable time and I felt like I was in the hands of some of the most capable caring people I’ve ever met. Brittney manages the department, but I’m telling you every single person I ran into Was exceptional.. Even one night when I was having a very bad night and very grumpy, I was met with compassion and care and patience. I cannot say enough about this organization and these people thank you all of you.Steve
I had a great experience. Triage was quick. Taken back soon after. I was in a great deal of pain and I hate hospitals. Today was great because I walked out feeling better and that I was heard. Thank you. It feels good to know that quality of care is just around the corner.
The only reason I’m giving this 2 stars instead of 1 is because of Dr. Bolin and the lady who sits at the front desk. My girlfriend and I are having our first child, and we decided to go with Saint Vincent’s OBGYN. Everything was good at our first appointment but quickly changed soon after. The lady at the front desk was really kind and tried her best to stay positive. At the PAP Smear I was sitting next to my girlfriend holding her hand when the nurse quickly moved me out of the way and were SUPER passive aggressive towards me. We missed our 16 week appointment (Where they just ask questions) due to a funeral out of state. When we came back they claimed they needed another PAP Smear and they tried to accuse us of missing our 12 week, and tried to my pressure my uncomfortable girlfriend into redoing the PAP smear and all of the other tests. Once they found our records again Dr. Bolin at least made it worth the 40 minute trip to get out there by letting us hear our babies heartbeat. We came back the next day to do our 20 week ultrasound and the ultrasound tech must’ve been in a bad mood. Thankfully, I took my mom because the Tech didn’t say a single thing for 80% of the whole ultrasound. My mom luckily asked which parts we were looking at. The tech labeled 1 part of our baby on the ultrasound. I’m not sure if it’s because we are a young couple, but she didn’t communicate a single thing unless it was “Turn over” or “come back this way”. My girlfriend has been excited about this ultrasound since we found out she was pregnant just for the whole experience to be awkward and uncomfortable. When we tried to transfer to a OB closer to Greenwood where we had moved, they said they couldn’t do anything because they go through a 3rd party (which we found out 2 months later while playing phone tag with every single person in the building). Now my girlfriend and I moved to Oklahoma and we are running into the same problem again! They continue to contact us about medical bills even though we have given them our Medicaid insurance multiple times. I would not recommend this OB to anyone!
In the last nine months I have been treated at Ascension St. Vincent Fishers. Each time I was admitted through the ER. On my two previous hospitalizations I believe my time in the ER a was under four hours, this last time it was over nine hours. However, the nurse I had, Annette, was very attentive and helpful. She walked through everything with me. I was, again, admitted to the 3rd floor. The nurses, techs and respiratory therapists are incredible, Call lights were answered immediately and they worked as a team to prepare me to head home in the best possible physical condition. They were kind, compassionate, caring, encouraging and professional.
This morning I woke up to let our cat into the bedroom cause he was meowing. I have fallen in the past and broke my right ankle. This time it was my left foot it just gave out. I do have neuropathy recently diagnosed two weeks ago from a neurologist. I took an ambulance ride to the hospital. When I arrive 5:00 am I was met by one nurse and doctor they did X-rays and gave me some medication in a shot for the pain. I happened to be there during a shift change. The new nurse Miranda was so kind and helpful. Luckily I didn’t break my left ankle. They told me to contact my orthopedic doctor Lyons if I still have more issues. They put my foot in a brace. Wrapped it up and got me into a wheelchair for discharge. Left around 7:25 am. Miranda was very personal and let me know that she had similar ankle issues which got fixed. It felt great to know that she had been in a similar situation. The staff was so kind and respectful.
