Experience was a joke , Shut it down - no urgency and teamwork of staff about like watching a circus happen around you definitely inexperienced. Took my 2 year old in with a 105.7 fever after the life squad was called they insisted I myself take a fever with a 1948 thermometer that didn’t read - following a lousy excuse made by the EMT about the ambient air being an issue .. what a shame - we Waited Over an hour to get any fever breaking medicine - we were very worried that nothing would be resolved and were surely surprised that we got her home with slightly reduced symptoms That’s just an inkling of details.

Most day staff was friendly but, as soon as 7pm rolled around, it was a totally different environment. Rude nurses and ridiculous wait times. They wasn't extremely busy either because there were empty beds so I'm not quite sure what was taking so long. It would help if they didn't stand around gossiping about coworkers and patients (yes people can hear you) Taking 15 minutes to discharge 1 patient while taking an hour and a half to discharge another is absolutely ridiculous. Don't ask them how long it will be before getting test results or how long it will be before you get discharged because they seem to slow down out of spite because you asked. I know healthcare jobs are not easy but, you are dealing with injured or sick people . Deal with it and do better.

These people need to be fired cause they don't care. My grandma went here on Sunday cause her blood sugar was dropping. They ran a test and said they couldn't find anything concerning. So they gave her some orange juice and some pills, then sent her home. Today she went to urgent care first, and they ran the exact same test this hospital ran. They found something different and urged her to go back to the hospital right then. So she did. Sat there for FIVE hours. However, other people walked in after her and they took them. Then, when she finally got back there after five hours in the waiting room, they ran the same test they ran on sunday and that she just had done at urgent care. They STILL said they found nothing wrong and that her blood pressure was fine. Of course her blood pressure went back to normal after waiting FIVE hours in the waiting room. This isn't the only unpleasant experience my family has had here. I once had a concussion, and they ran a CAT scan, nothing else. My mom had run me up to Hillsboro, and that one was alot better. That doctor even told my mom that concussions don't show up on CAT scans. It's a waste of time to even come here. These people don't know what their doing.

I've had a couple experiences here with my mother that have left me exasperated. Last week we had urgent need for medical service and the staff here exceeded expectations. The nursing home was slow to acknowledge my mother's respiratory distress, and by the the time she arrived at the hospital she was fighting for life. The staff worked quickly, and because of their quick response and diligence, my mother is still alive. A big thank you to this hospital and it's staff for all you've done for my family. Fayette County is blessed to have you.

I would like to THANK the morning nurses on the 8am crew April 2nd, the anesthesiologist Pam, & Dr. Kativa Deonarine for the care my mom Patty Harman received in the surgery department. The nurses were so kind. The anesthesiologist Pam was so thorough carefully answered all our questions. Dr. Deonarine did a wonderful job explaining from beginning to end. We apologize for not remembering the nurses names. She was so nervous at arrival & the nurses made her feel so comfortable. We would recommend this hospital & this crew to everyone!
