Inept and unpleasant staff. Don't care and red tape for days for the simplest things. Not to mention all their offices are labeled incorrectly.
OSF does not respect patients' time or money. First of all, if you have the first appointment of the day (8 A.M.), the system (OSF MyChart) erroneously tells you to arrive at 7:45 A.M. The only problem? The office doesn't open until 8 A.M.. My wife and I have both had our time wasted due to this issue, which has existed for years and nobody's ever bothered to address it. Second, they like to hold your refills hostage if they deem that it's been too long since you've last been seen. They'll refuse to refill 90-day prescriptions, even though a 30-day fill costs 75% as much (obviously, OSF doesn't set pharmacy prices, but I still hold them accountable for this since they're the ones causing it). They clearly care more about making money off appointments than they do about making sure patients have the medications they need. I'm sure they have their excuses and justifications for this, but we never go longer than 6 months without getting blood work done, so there's no reason to treat us this way. My wife had an appointment to be seen on a Friday morning. She shows up at 7:45a, like the system instructed her to do. She has to sit there waiting for someone to arrive and unlock the door, since nobody actually shows up until 8. Then, she's told that the person she was supposed to see doesn't work there on Fridays. Really? It sure would have been nice to have been informed of this BEFORE the day she arrived. She took off work when she's extremely busy only to completely waste her time, because somebody didn't do their due diligence to check for this oversight. Completely unacceptable.
SURGEON, DR. GREG WARD IS A HOMOPHOBIC BIGOT AND REFUSES TO PERFORM SURGERY ON HIV+ PATIENTS, WHICH IS A VIOLATION OF THE ADA AND THE AFFORDABLE CARE ACT. INFECTIOUS DISEASE DR. ALBERT ENGLAND SPENT 15 MINUTES WITH ME. DIDN'T ASK ME A SINGLE QUESTION ABOUT MYSELF, YET FALSELY DIAGNOSED (LABELED) ME AS "PSYCHOTIC" AND "DELUSIONAL". I GUESS BECAUSE TO CHAMPAIGN COUNTY "HEALTHCARE PROFESSIONALS" BEING GAY EQUALS MENTALLY ILL. ANYONE ELSE NOTICING THAT TREND IN PUBLIC HEALTH??? ITS ABUSIVE AND MALICIOUS AND THEY'RE ALL GETTING SUED FOR THEIR UNLAWFUL BEHAVIOR!!! 6TH FLOOR NURSES AND OSF SUPPORT STAFF WAS AWESOME!!! THE DOCTORS ARE DANGEROUS!!!
