Final Billing Notice Threat Without Transparency My son was referred to Memorial Hermann Rehabilitation Hospital-Katy for a sleep study in early 2025. After receiving an initial estimate of $1,125 and a revised one for $618.75, we were ultimately billed $1,125 — with no itemized explanation. We were never informed that the WatchPat One device was disposable or single-use, and no physician or billing representative was present when we picked it up. No one explained the costs or obtained written consent. Despite multiple formal dispute attempts through the patient portal and by email, we received no response — only a final billing notice threatening to send the account to collections. This is unacceptable, especially given the complete lack of billing transparency and follow-up. Patients deserve clear communication and informed consent before being charged over $1,000. Based on our experience, I cannot recommend this facility.
Total scam. Took over 2 months (afterwards) to find out that they didn't have a doctor on staff to interpret any data. They sent it to a 3rd party for review. I still don't have any results. The only thing I do have is bills piling up. They charged me $ 500 for the study (which doesn't include any doctor review or results - That's a separate bill). Now I'm out a boatload of money with no results, recommendations, or advice on how to move forward. This place should be shutdown.
I got a sleep study from this practice and was provided to service I needed. Three stars for that. The staff was irresponsible as I kept calling and left messages for my results as my doctor did not receive results for a month. But no response. On top staff was rude. As Finally spoke to a lady, who I told that I have been leaving messages for three weeks. She hung up on me, man the attitude. Will not go back or recommend to others.
Security guy doing the covid screening/giving information needs a raise. Seriously excellent customer service. Sleep Study people. Same.
