So for non-serious issues, GVMH is fine. The doctors on the clinic side are decent. However, the emergency room is insanely BAD. They don't have a doctor on staff most of the time at the ER and the primary physicians at the ER are simply incompetent. They gave my diabetic aunt a cookie before she left (with no ride) and it sent her blood sugar to 400. The ER is a lawsuit waiting to happen. If you need an ER, I would go to another hospital.
I came in to the emergency room with unknown possible cardiac issues on 07/16/2025, at 9:50 pm. The care I received was thorough and professional from start to finish. I think the best way to put it is that I felt listened to, and when I balked at a treatment, I was treated with respect and kindness. It is a good place to be if you are gonna be sick!! Thank you so much, GVMH Hospital…. Judie Fiedler
Went in today to try to get paperwork to Dr. The Dr was busy helping other people which I understand. Kee at the walk in reception desk was so helpful and kind set with me took notes for the Dr .She's such a lovely kind person. The brightest light in the hospital.
I went to Dr Yeggy after my original OB couldnt help me anymore back in August. I had been scheduled for a surgery with her that was postponed due to the fact I caught a really bad cold which was later scheduled for 9/5. However I ended up going to the ER on 9/3 with severe pain. After getting checked in we did wait a little while to be seen. But let me tell you what from the gal at the front desk to Madi our nurse in the ER to the MRI tech they were all amazing! The doctor in the ER really made me feel heard and he called DR Yeggy to find the best plan of action because of the situation. They admitted me on the early morning of 9/4 and the staff of Floor 3 were amazing!!! I had the surgery i needed on Friday and was discharged 9/6. I dont ever think that I can even bring to words how much their care and kindness meant to me. They helped me heal in more ways than one. I would drive 2 hrs again to go to them for both their clinic and ER if I need to. V and Rachel -Thank you both for so much. Dr. Yeggy thank you for taking me on as a patient. (quick side note my husband drove me 2 hrs to this hospital because of Dr. Yeggy and the other OB staff.) I know many may not read this long post but I trust this hospital and their staff and I will drive the distance for good doctors who care about their patients.
I would have given a zero if i could have. This review is a bit late, but I hope Dr. Lucas is no longer working in the ER. He was extremely unprofessional and his lack of care could have literally caused my death. Also, Rachel attempted to put an IV in for four hours...with the aid of ultrasound. Not joking. Literally four hours! It was torture.
