Our friend has been at CNS for a couple of years. He has graduated from the in patient intense therapy program to a residential program. He is getting the best possible treatment and care. We are grateful to the staff and management for helping our friend progress and apply his skills. Thank you CNS!

First I would like to express that my fiance Anthony Clay suffered a stroke. CNS staff/therapists helped him tremendously in his recovery. Helping him to gain strength using his left arm/leg etc. Therapists like Trevor, Grant, Kimble and others gave Anthony the confidence and knowledge on regaining his independence. I would have given CNS five stars. However, I am unable to. Their billing system left us with $13K billing that we were unaware of until the time Anthony graduated CNS. When we started to get the billing we took them in to his case manage for review. We were told there were delays in the payments from the insurance carrier. Therefore, we never knew quite what we owed as his portion. For example, last month March 25, he received a bill for $13K. April 3, he received a new statement for $6400. However, we spoke to the billing dept. on 4/24/25 and was informed we are back to the $13K. Definitely a worrisome situation to not really know what your billing is while recovering from a stroke. As we both feel, the service staff were amazing, but the billing just ain't right. No one wants to take any accountability. But threaten to take a stroke victim to collection if he does not pay $13K in 10 days. WOW! Anthony Clay, Fairfield CA.

My life long friend with TBI with moderate diffuse axonal injury and multiple hematomas, was moved to CNS about 6 months after his accident. He is in both the CNS residential and clinic programs in Emeryville, CA. His progress has been phenomenal. In my opinion, the CNS therapists, staff MD, Nurses and Case Managers have been exceptionally caring and effective in their work with my friend. In surveying many options for rehabilitation from TBI for my friend, I believe CNS offers the best program and care teams available for TBI rehabilitation!

2018 when all hope was lost . Centre for neuro skills gave me hope , courage and my life back ! I was 46 year old when I suffered a stroke , rendering me with right sided weakness , barely walking , balance problems , and cognitive deficits. I had extensive therapy everyday Monday through Friday starting at 8ish on the morning . They combined physical , occupational, and speech therapy enabling to multitask and regain my physical strength. After a month , I was walking independently. I traveled to Europe and hiked the volcanos in Greece . And returned to work 3 post stroke as a nurse . Thank you . I am so grateful for the dedicated the staff . I remember my PT name - Sean . He was very patient and thought of creative ways for me to regain my strength.

My husband is receiving wonderful care after a stroke at CNS. Very professional, knowledgeable, enthusiastic, empathetic and caring staff. Very responsive to client and family concerns. Very easy to work with, and helpful with the insurance process. More details of schedule and activities at the residence, as well as how family and friends can interact with client, would be helpful. Overall, a wonderful and comprehensive program! I work in health care, and if I have a brain injury in the future, I hope I can do my rehab at CNS.
