I've been here 3 times for appointments. My initial appointment had me waiting over an hour and a half after my appointment time at the office. My second was fine and relatively on time. My third was 45 minutes after my appointment time as well. I arrived early each time. Are you just forgetting that I am here and waiting to be seen? It is incredibly unprofessional and rude to not abide by your appointment times. Schedule your appointments better. Follow your schedule better. If you are consistently running over on time, see less people.
The scheduling person was extremely pushy, short, rude, and seemed quite dense. Although I have not yet attended my appointment, the office administrator couldn’t even provide me with a contact number. When I asked about paperwork, they only told me I needed to fill it out but gave no information on how I would receive it. Additionally, they did not provide an address, and there is no address listed in their phone system options. They do not offer appointment reminders of any kind. They requested a recent picture of my CT scan but refused to accept it via email or fax, insisting I must print it out because the doctor needs to see it in person. This approach feels incredibly outdated and out of touch. There is no option to receive appointment confirmations or reminders via text, no option to communicate through email or an online portal like MyChart, and their phone system lacks even a basic address listing. Moreover, the phone is rarely answered when called. This entire experience gives the impression of an ancient, poorly managed office that is completely disconnected from modern patient needs. I am strongly considering canceling my appointment and informing my physician that this office is not only extremely outdated but also rude and incompetent. Their lack of professionalism and failure to adopt basic communication standards is unacceptable.
Office staff are nice and helpful. Wait list is long, so be prepped to wait 2-3 months for a sleep study. Very little is explained so use your resources. I also recommend meeting with the dr, if you can, rather than the NP. My experience with her was not the greatest; didn’t explain much and was condescending. Sleep tech, Kristina (I think), was awesome! Chose to make a follow up appointment with my PC rather than meet with the NP again. If she had explained the at home results better, I probably wouldn’t have done the in lab test.
I have been going to this clinic for years for sleep apnea and insomnia. I saw Dr Ostranski initially the began seeing his PA at the former Southlake office. My apnea has been under control but my chronic insomnia has continued so she (the PA) prescribed sleep meds a few years ago. On my last visit she literally stormed into the exam room asking me “are you going to stop the medication”? I don’t know what her problem was but she was completely unprofessional and condescending, she had NO suggestions for the chronic insomnia except to live with it! She could have at least referred me to someone else but she totally blew me off, very rude! I will never return to that place!
We haven't even been to our initial appointment yet, but leaving this review based on my initial interactions pre-appointment. I will update following the appointment. My grandmother's PCP recommended her to go here following a month-long hospital stay with breathing difficulties. With the PCP referral, we got the appointment scheduled without any hassle. They called us, and sent a follow up text to confirm the appointment date. Great. Yesterday (one week before the appointment) they call me at 4:50pm. Ten minutes before they close. I didn't answer immediately, not recognizing the number, but called back less than a minute later as the voicemail they left me stated "You will need to confirm your appointment within 24 hours or it will be canceled." Well, first off, who does their confirmation calls right before closing time? Second, if someone calls back less than a minute later, why don't you answer? We know you're still there. Third, how are you going to give only 24 hours to confirm, when in reality it's less than that because you're calling AT CLOSING TIME. That's kind of rude and inconsiderate. People have lives and busy schedules. Anyways, I called four different times, even leaving my name, number, and the appointment I was calling to confirm. Even asked them to call me back and confirm my messages were received. After several hours, I still hadnt heard anything. At this point I was nervous and just decided to call back and press the button to schedule a new patient appointment. Good riddance. I guess the thought of getting a new patient and some more money is what gets them to answer the phone real quick. So FYI... if you can't get them to answer your call, try again and press the button for new patient appointment scheduling!
