Don’t recommend the ER have always had problems with that department. Daughter was in the ER with a flu bug (my husband took her) I called to check in on things and they had told me there was nobody there with her name. So as a mom I started freaking out calling every local ER/Clinic to find her. I had to find out from OSF on call in Galesburg that she in fact was at Monmouth ER & just recently left that’s why they said she wasn’t there. Like why couldn’t Monmouth just tell me that instead of making me freak out so infuriating & rude & disrespectful!!! Also husband was just in the ER for stomach pains I had called and requested to talk to him since he’s been there for hours upon hours & id like to speak with him. Well they wouldn’t let me speak to my husband they just gave me an update. I didn’t request an update I requested to speak with my husband. This ER is a joke at least hire people who actually care and not just doing it for a paycheck.. thanks 🙏
DO NOT GO HERE. Terrible place. Road basically blocked to get into ER. Went in for breathing and back pain, left with no results and still having issues with both.
Incompetent staff and repetitive lack of help in any regard. Never give any actual straight-forward help. They only give extremely vague diagnoses as if they barely know what their job even is. The only thing they do to "help" is prescribing drugs that do next to nothing and when that doesn't work they repeat the same process with different drugs.
My 69 year old father came to your emergency room the evening of May 21st after he took a bad fall at home the day prior. He was given an MRI & an X-Ray. He was told nothing was broken/fractured and prescribed steroids for the inflammation. Well, last week he had another MRI & spoke with a specialist today (July 2nd) in Peoria because the pain never got any better, only immensely worse. He found out that his BACK IS FRACTURED. How the hell do you miss that?! My dad has been "walking"/laying around in severe pain, complaining that he feels like hes dying, for OVER A MONTH because of your negligence!!! YOU SHOULD ALL BE ASHAMED OF YOURSELVES! I will be in search of an attorney!!
Absolutely horrible hospital. The doctors won’t communicate with you about your own child and you make medical decisions about your child and they over rule it and refuse to let you see your child on top of it. I will never be at that hospital ever again. The 6amd half hour wait hoping the doctor would come talk to me about what’s going on never happened either. I had to go talk to receptionist about my son and that’s pretty pathetic
