Children's Mercy Kansas City Adele Hall Campus

Thank you, Children’s Mercy! My baby was in poor health with a few viruses so we were transferred from our local hospital a few hours away to Children’s Mercy Adele Campus. I would love to give a shoutout to everyone who has helped with our baby boy’s recovery. The critical transport team, our night nurse Katie, our day nurse Lauren (and Ellie too), and so many others provided the best possible care I could even imagine. We were in 6 Hall and truly the staff was outstanding. Our doctors, one I believe was named Jay, and also Dr. Quinn and our resident (Maria?), were knowledgeable, efficient, and communicated goals clearly. It’s obvious when staff members love what they do and it shows at this hospital. From the sweeping/mopping staff, to RTs, to care assistants (maybe especially care assistants!), to volunteers; every person we came in contact with was kind, helpful, and competent. Our baby boy has made a fantastic recovery and although no parent wants to be hospitalized with their child, especially a tiny baby, our stay was as stress-free as it could have possibly been given the gravity of the situation. And thank you to whomever decorated and donated our tree, what a sweet touch for the Christmas season. Thank you!!

People who actually want to take care of your kiddo and aren’t miserable about it. I will say, the only time the doctor spoke to us it was pressuring us to get my kid up to date on vaccinations and didn’t have anything to say about why we were actually there bizarrely, but miraculously I think the nurses and respiratory therapist and PA we had in the ER made up for a few minutes of a doctor lecturing me. If any of my kids get sick again I would bring them here without pause.

The overall experience was absolutely amazing! I’m so grateful for everyone who went above and beyond to help my son get better. His care was truly a 10/10. I’ll definitely return if he ever has any future complications. I’ve never experienced anything like this before, and I can honestly say it was incredible. I also appreciate how much they cared about my well-being while I was breastfeeding. I’m beyond thankful to CMH for the exceptional care they provided to my son and me. 💙

My toddler fell from a bounce house and broke his elbow, my child never- never had an accident so as a mom I was living a nightmare!! we are so lucky to have an amazing service as children mercy hospital, they were so professional, patience and the language wasn’t a problem at all for other patients that don’t speak any English, EVERYONE, the staff, security, nurses and doctors gave us the best and fast attention for my child to have his surgery, they made us feel comfortable and safe, they check the whole time if us as parents or my child as patient need anything, if I could, I would leave 10 stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Thank you children mercy for everything you do

Children's Mercy took incredible care of my daughter during her surgery. Dr. Grote, Ann, TK, and Bianca were awesome start to finish! I ended up taking some odd photos around the hospital. There's no patient info, don’t worry. It’s just how I cope. Thank you ALL!!
