Every employee I’ve interacted with has been very pleasant and understanding, but the way that Duly handles Allergy Injections is legitmately impossible. You’re supposed to schedule regular appointments, but the availability is impossible to deal with if you have any form of a regular job. If you can’t find time to spend basically an hour between the 30 min waiting period and your commute during the hours of 9 - 3, you’re basically out of luck. You’d think that if you’re offering this kind of care, you’d make the process easy for your patients but its been a huge headache. I specifically tried asking for appointment times after 4:30 (which only happen at this location on Thursdays and are chronically totally booked) and was basically told to kick rocks. I’m basically just gonna keep this review up until Duly expands their hours or decides to hire more nurses to facilitate this process because so far I’ve been extremely disappointed in my quality of care.
The staff were very helpful and responsive to my needs. Very efficient and timely. The Dr was knowledgeable and did not mind questions. Overall great interaction in a difficult. Thank you!
On two occasions that I’ve been to the urgent care in Glen Ellyn they did not help, once even making my injury worse. I came in with a fractured fourth metacarpal in my hand. The fracture caused my tendons to pull on the affected finger sideways when I would try to make a fist the finger would point to the left side. Instead of splinting it to a finger on the right to keep it straight, they splinted it to the left, pulling it even further out of alignment. I immediately re wrapped the splint at home, had I not, I would currently have a disabled hand. The second occasion was a swollen and infected ingrown toenail. There was so much pressure built up I could not walk. Rather than draining the blood and puss for immediate (urgent) relief, the doctor said she can’t do that and prescribed a general antibiotic instead. They made me pay $20 copay just to tell me something I already knew and not help. I went home and drained it myself and could walk right after.
This place was great! The receptionist was so sweet and patient. The nurse and doctor were so thorough and seemed genuinely concerned for my health. It was a nice feeling to be cared for when I was not feeling my best.
Today, we had to visit this branch because our usual location was closed and my son was unwell. Unfortunately, our experience was extremely disappointing due to the unprofessional behavior of the receptionist, Sosan Kons. She was rude, dismissive, and raised her voice while we were trying to explain our situation. As a parent seeking care for a sick child, I found her lack of patience and unwillingness to listen deeply upsetting. While we understand that anyone can have a bad day, the way she handled the interaction was inappropriate and unacceptable. I hope both sides are heard in such situations and no other patients’ treatments are denied due to unprofessional behavior We’ve been visiting Duly for over four years and have always had positive experiences — until today. It was disheartening to feel dismissed and mistreated during a time when we needed compassion and support. I really hope the clinic reviews this incident seriously. It may also be worth considering placing cameras in the waiting area to ensure transparency and accountability in staff interactions with patients.
