Do not take your child here. I will be following up with a hospital administrator after the traumatic experience we had with my 3 yr old son with autism. Everyone was aware of his diagnosis and sensory issues, as well as his sleep terrors and struggles at night (obviously it’s a sleep study). They were unorganized and we waited until 9pm for him to be able to go to sleep, 2 hours past his bedtime and an hour and a half after check in. Procedure was not explained, they chose to end the study at 11:15 when he started waking and panicking about the wires. They left chunks of glue and stickers all over him and informed us we needed to leave. We live over an hour away and they had sent my husband to RMH in another building so I had to try to get ahold of him so we could leave. No communication or empathy.

DO NOT bring your child here to do a sleep study if they’re under the age of 4/still sleeping in a crib. The techs were woefully inept at attending to a child’s needs and it was so obvious their entire system was not optimized for a child. So many improvements could be made, including ASKING if the child sleeps in a crib still (rather than assuming they’ll be able to sleep in a queen bed next to their parent).

Professional & caring techs. They tried everything within their power to minimize any inconvenience. Techs explained procedure in great detail. As for the group responsible for interpreting the results, they are either greatly understaffed or just plain don’t understand the needs of patients getting results in a timely manner. MRI’s, Xrays, CT’s & etc are interpreted in hospitals within an hour sometimes minutes. Absolutely no reason that a patient must wait 2 weeks. I expected more effeicient services from our local hospital.

It's not a 5 star hotel or resort - so don't expect it to resemble one. It's a medical facility. They got me in early because of a cancelation. They were professional and polite. Unless you want sugar upon sugar for breakfast, I recommend you bring your own or go out. You'll be getting an Otis Spunkmeyer muffin. Not a deal breaker as I wasn't there for the food. I felt like I was in capable hands.

Terrible service, went there for a scheduled appointment. And they told me I wasn't on their list of appointments. They asked me to produce the letter confirming my appointment, (which I wasn't told to bring). However I was able to pull up a photo of the letter showing the correct appointment time. And the person at the front desk said it didn't matter there was nothing he could do. "We're just the night crew". I asked if this happened a lot, the guy behind the desk says, "Ya, quite a bit". Nice to know that Memorial cares so much about their patients they can't even manage to figure out their schedule. Thanks for wasting my time.
