I came in needing an at home sleep apnea sleep study. I was placed with Sarah Whetstone and my experience was nothing but great after that. Sarah was super knowledgeable and assisted me with scheduling, walked me through how to use the at home sleep study instruments, and answered every question I had. She definitely knows her stuff and is very pleasant to work with.

My technician, Joyce, was excellent--patient and knowledgeable. But overall the experience here was unpleasant. First of all, arriving and leaving in the dark is a safety issue, especially for elderly people. I arrived a little early and I felt very vulnerable standing alone in a big parking lot. I was there for a sleep study, but the mattress was soft and saggy--definitely not conducive to good sleep. The room, which was adequate, was freezing cold. Finally, this business both conducts the study and then orders the CPAP machine, if you need one. It seems like a conflict of interest. Good luck.

My tech was Patty. She is extremely knowledgeable of the need for more sleep testing to be done due as it affects the body and people in many different ways. It’s important to know why you feel irritable, restless , lack of motivation , ADHD etc. I am thankful to have had this second experience with a sleep study because I am more appreciative of Patty’s insight and experiences she shared with me . Did you know sleep Apnea run in families ?Knowledge is life changing and saving. Thank you Patty and Shirzai for a great experience!!!

I just did my in lab sleep study last night and had a wonderful experience. I’m not sure the name of the tech, but she was absolutely lovely. She was very knowledgeable and supportive and we had a lovely conversation while she was hooking me all up. I was worried about it being too hot for me to sleep, but she made sure to bring me a “good fan.” The daytime tech was nice too, but she had the unfortunate responsibility of waking me up from a good nap. The room was spacious, clean, and quiet. There was access to a fridge and microwave, but I felt bad about asking them to wait on me as I did not leave the room. So I ordered food in stead. If I need another study for “titration” of a cpap, I will definitely return!

I’m really not the type to leave negative reviews, but my experience here was so unpleasant that I feel like others should know. If you’re considering this place for a sleep study, I’d recommend looking elsewhere. North Advanced Sleep Center. Go elsewhere. The process started with their take-home module, which they explained fairly well, but scheduling was a nightmare. I waited over two months just to get started. After that, they finally scheduled me for the overnight study about three weeks later. The overnight stay itself was awful. The attendants did a poor job explaining the process, especially when it came to the CPAP. I had never used one before, told them that, and they still didn’t explain what to expect. Around 9:15pm, after all the wires were hooked up, they put the nose hose on me without much guidance. The experience was really uncomfortable. When I woke up around midnight to use the restroom, I tried to go back to sleep but the air was blasting through my nose. Nobody adjusted the settings or helped me troubleshoot, so I barely slept at all. I ended up leaving around 4:30am exhausted. To make things worse, about a week later they were already pushing me to buy a CPAP without even going over my results. I had to chase down the doctor’s scheduler just to get any explanation. From what I’ve seen in the waiting area, billing issues are also common here. Overall, this whole process was stressful, poorly handled, and far from professional. I strongly suggest finding a different sleep study center if you want a smoother, more supportive experience.
