This is a beautiful facility right off Rte 61 in Maquokita,IA. The view is beautiful, looking out the wall of windows in the main entrance you can see for miles, the rolling hills. The inside is bright and cheery, clean, and not so big, so it's easy to find your way around. I believe it is a hospital and rehab center all in one. My aunt was admitted to the center when she was very sick, and the nurses were very attentive to her needs. Her illness ended in her death at the facility, and they helped our family through every step of the dying process. It seemed like we were the only family there because we had their full attention around the clock, which made our ordeal a bit less traumatic. If I lived in this area, I would certainly choose this hospital over any of the larger ones.
I feel like I've always received excellent care, whether surgery, emergency, lab, radiology, or specialty clinics. I've worked in hospitals for quite a few years of my life and find that this hospital's care is comparable to much larger facilities. We need to support them so we don't lose them!
Dr. Coyne is a great Doctor and very easy to talk to and understand. He is my top choice at CVM.

I had a procedure done today in the surgery department. Every single employee I came in contact with, from admissions, to anistisiaoligist, to every single nurse, were so amazing, kind and helpful. They worked together so well and in sync, that I would have sworn they worked together their entire careers. I cannot say enough how much I appreciated every single one of them and the care they gave me. From beginning to end, they made me feel important, cared for, relaxed and the whole procedure ran smoother than so many others told me it would, who had theirs done at other hospitals. I had to travel 40 minutes from home as that is where my surgeon works through and I was hesitant about that. But after my experience, I would travel 10 times that far, to receive the care that I did today! Thank you so much everyone! I appreciated it more than you'll ever know!
