The doctors and nurses are fantastic. The billing department is terrible.

You guys need to clean that entire facility. The bathrooms the elevator the hallways are so nasty. I've been going there for over 20 years with my son and it's gotten so nasty. There's literally drips on the walls of the elevators. I've gone to so many UH hospitals and satellite locations around Northeast Ohio and I just don't understand why the housekeeping isn't up to his standards across the board. Also the rooms in the offices are so hot due to not having any reflective material on the windows.

Terrible lactation expertise!!!!! I went to see Vida LePage when my baby was 2.5 weeks old because I was still having pain with latch and he was struggling to gain weight efficiently. I thought it was a latch issue. Within 5 minutes of being there she started talking about tongue/lip ties (she said she couldn’t diagnose though but to see an ent or dentist). She said the baby had milk on his tongue and that was because his tongue didn’t touch the top of his mouth. She said he’s biting down on me because he can’t effectively use his tongue and that was causing the nipple pain. During the appt she talked extensively about oral ties and the harm they can cause untreated. She instructed me to pump 4x a day so I could supplement after breastfeeding with a bottle to make sure he was getting enough. After 2 weeks my baby was gaining albeit slowly still (only giving 1 bottle/day of 2pm or less), but I was still having a lot of pain so I went back. She talked a little more about oral ties, told me to keep up the oral exercises and that was it. I spent the next 6 weeks researching oral ties and going back and forth on whether I should get him evaluated (seems barbaric to me). I felt like a horrible mom either choice I made. I even thought about stopping breastfeeding. I finally sought a 2nd opinion from another LC and WE HAVE THRUSH. He does not have an oral tie. We have a yeast infection for Christ sake. The “milk” on his tongue was YEAST. If she had any clue what she was doing we would have been treated when he was 2.5 weeks old and would not have suffered for 8 weeks. DO NOT RECOMMEND!!!!!!!!!

Took baby to lab for blood work. Experience was terrible. Staff was very unprofessional stuck my baby and didn’t get all blood that was needed and thought I was going to let them try again. Staff taped bloody bandage on hand that was stuck with needle. Had to remove it my self clean area and install new bandage. DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS LOCATION FOR BLOOD WORK!!

I usually never go to UH, and every time I visit this organization I see why. The staff are extremely rude. The so-called doctors and nurses are completely unhelpful. I went in for a gynecological issue and upon my visit, the nurse basically asked me why I was there, even though I already outlined the purpose and reason for my visit prior to visiting her office. Additionally, she mentioned to me my previous doctors visit, but due to personal, things going on in my life I was unable to even go to any doctors appointment And getting to work was a struggle. The doctors and nurses on staff are condescending and rude and they cut you off when you ask questions about your health. The interactions here feel very transactional and it feels as though that they only care about the money — Which is the case with a lot of UH “professionals”. Do not book any health screenings with Tia Melton is a so called MD — I asked her to review my labs and just to provide more information about a concern, mind you she is the doctor, and she did not elaborate or explain anything to me. She suggested birth control, which I’ve already stated I do not need that. All in all, I would not suggest anyone to get a second opinion here or establish any sort of healthcare assistance as university hospital is clearly unable and unequipped to properly handle clients needs or concerns. I really do wish there was a way to report the entire company altogether .
