Don't even try to go to the ER here, just go to Toledo or somewhere else. Triage is terrible, and you are left waiting for 2+ hours even when writhing in pain sitting in the lobby. Was also told at front desk when I asked how long it would be that " 3 nurses just left so it may take a little longer yet". Why are you sending nurses home or not asking some to stay over, or providing adequate staffing when you have multiple people waiting in the lobby for hours. Whether you go here with 30 people in the waiting room, or 5, the entire process is pitiful.

Small surgery earlier in the year. Fantastic experience. If youre reading the reviews, please go back into your records and see who was all involved. Every nurse and supporting staff deserves a raise.

I won't be coming back here, simply because they don't care about their disabled guests. The people are amazing. Jenny, in ultrasound, was kind, gentle, and awesome. This is how people who care treat patients. The following is the problem though Handicapped parking is a joke. The spaces are tiny. There is no room next to the space to even open my car door, let alone adjust for my assistance device. I'll be making appointments for testing and anything else which needs to be done elsewhere. Such a shame. I said to the person who checked me on that I had a complaint. She said, "the parking?". These people know it! I told her the HC parking spaces aren't even HC. She knew it. The hospital is aware. It just doesn't care. This hospital has had parking garage issues for years. I thought it meant but be fixed by now. It's worse. When I got back to my car someone new (minivan) had parked next to me and it was even worse than when I had parked. You're a hospital. You should know better. You're supposed to care.

I am a caregiver to my best friend who came into the er with a very serious infection that required emergency surgery. Let me say that I want to give two reviews. First the staff in the er, icu and 6th floor was all amazing. The doctors and nurses were great and gave plenty of info and updates and we couldn't have asked for a better experience with that. However, discharge planning happened immediately after being out in icu and I was made a lot of promises about helping us get to the right places for after care and helping us find another doctor for him and help with some insurance issues we were having and none of that happened. Not one promise to help us was kept and followed through on. They dumped him in some shitty skilled nursing facility with no explanations as to why he "had" to go there and now he is coming home with nothing set up to help him and we are right back to square one with home health and insurance. It is a great hospital to go to, but dont expect anyone in social work or discharge planning to actually help with any of that.

I went to the Emergency at Flower Hospital after getting dizzy and breaking my fall at home. I’m 70 and never had such an episode. The staff from my arrival to discharge were amazing. Marie in ER was fantastic and witnessed a dizzy episode I was experiencing. She immediately notified the Nurse Practitioner and the additional Test. The first Doctor I met in the ER got me some more warm blankets and made a good wrap around my legs and feet. After consulting with another doctor my daughter agreed with the doctor that I should be admitted. I went to room 717 for overnight observation. Oh my the staff just continued their friendly, professional and efficient way of caring for me. I’m like do they have cameras watching them. They took their time introduced themselves and their positions. They explained how test results would be given to the house doctor who would consult with a neurologist. It’s about 3:30 and I can’t remember the one nurse’s name but she has 2 children. My daughter was saying something about my 5&6 yr old grand children, she shared with my daughter about her kids to make my daughter feel comfortable. She the explained it was important for me to eat and gave her instructions on how to order from the menu. It’s room service style just like a hotel, oh my. I ordered grill chicken Alfredo with onions and mushrooms. A side salad, 2 oatmeal raisin cookies and a fruit cup. It came in about 35 min.and was delicious and the salad was so fresh. I’m not one to call the nurse often but when did they responded and always said that’s what we’re here for. Discharged went smoothly everything was explained by house doctor and nurse. I was told I would be discharged around 11am. I asked if I could eat breakfast and was told most definitely, we would never send you home hungry. I realize Flower is a smaller hospital but the and efficiency of the entire staff and service can compete with any other hospital big or small. I would like to humbly thank everyone with my care and discharge.
