Yesterday I was sent to get X-rays for my 8 year old son. I signed in at the kiosk as a “walk in” and sat down to wait. After an hour I walked to the window to see if we were in line. Apparently you have to go to the window after signing in at the kiosk-which you don’t know unless you ask. Then to top off waiting all that time with my sick child I am told that they don’t accept my Highmark insurance during the day, only during evening hours and if I wanted to come back after 5 I could. I’ve never heard of this and I think it’s absolutely absurd that we were denied service for a sick child due to the time of day. I’m usually really happy with this place but yesterday left me very angry.
I love going here for testing, blood draws, xrays, etc! Close to home, and the staff are very helpful and pleasant! Never have to wait long before they see you! Sure beats going into Oakland to have testing!
Always an easy in and out here. The ONLY A DOWNFALL is the condition of the towns roads you have to take to get here 🫨🫨 I blew a tire on the way out but the great patient care made it worth it. (UPMC is not responsible for the roads, of course, but getting there is absolutely insane)
My experience here was as good as could be expected for an unexpected surgery and this is due fully to the doctors/nurses/staff. I checked in and we were immediately escorted back. My wait to be taken to the OR was very reasonable, and the nurses were really on top of everything. Immediately upon waking, they went to get my husband so I'd have a friendly face. They also provided all care materials I may need upon going home so we wouldn't need to stop for bandages, etc. Highly recommend this location.
I have been here before for xrays, scans, etc. Usually get results in a timely manner, sometime even the same days within a few hours. Not this time. Still waiting for results over two weeks later. Would have been nice to get results to know what's going on and how to treat it. Called in at one point and was told they were operating with a 10 day turn around for reading results. Maybe someone could have said this to start. Why perform tests if you know you cant read them and deliver results in a timely manner. At this point I'm not sure it was even worth paying for the procedure if it's not going to benefit me.
