I brought my twelve year old here last Wednesday to be seen for a cough and wheezing. They gave him a few breathing treatments, but never tested him for anything. Once it seemed like his symptoms were subsiding I sent him back to school on Friday after being out all week although I was a little skeptical. On Saturday, he woke up with a high fever, and his cough seemed more intense which led me to take him to the urgent care that I go to yesterday. They immediately test him and find out he has covid and the flu! I definitely understand why your reviews are what they are!
I have worked in health care over 30 years and I was absolutely impressed at how this team worked. From check in being friendly to an amazing doctor taking his time to explain what is happening with my 1 year old grandson to the guard that watched us out. Everyone was amazing! And I should mention I got there 30 minutes before close and still got this amazing care 🥰
Brought in my 4 year old with a fever and sore throat. “He couldn’t get a COVID vax, so I’d like him tested.” “We don’t have same day COVID tests.” “I have a four week old at home, so I’d like him tested for RSV.” “We don’t test for RSV and just treat it as a cold.” “His strep test came back negative, so we don’t know, but we’re working tomorrow and will run a second strip.” Spoiler alert, they didn’t. So I went to AFC Urgent Care instead and got every test done in 15 minutes. Get it together CHKD, this was a disappointing experience and I could’ve started his antibiotics 5 days ago, had anyone followed up as promised.
I don’t give reviews for medical facilities because it’s all really subjective. I can only speak for the care our son was given and I will say it was a great experience here. He was seen for a nasty toe contusion when we really thought it was broken. The whole team was very kind and professional. I recommend this urgent care. Thank you 🙏
I felt obligated to leave feedback after today’s visit. My son has been running a high fever for 6 days. The staff here were amazing! They were thorough, kind, and had great temperament with him. From walking in to walking out, we were treated with such great care!!
