My child started developing severe panic attacks every day before school. I spoke with my child's CHKD pediatrician, and they recommended we see a mental health provider within the CHKD network. We thought we would only be on the waitlist for at most 6 months. So we decided to use an online telehealth mental health provider site while we waited an entire year!! As it turns out, the referral was never sent. So finally, we get an appointment, and when we meet the PMHNP, we are incredibly underwhelmed! The appointments were essentially "how are you feeling?", "how are you sleeping?" It seemed the provider could not be bothered to dig a little deeper and ask thought-provoking questions. I suppose they leave that to the therapist. The mental health system is broken, and when you finally get an appointment, you are treated like a number. Needless to say, we will be going back to using the telehealth provider. At least they are quicker to follow up and actually listen to what the parents (who know the child the best!) have to say.
Absolutely horrible. You have to harass them just to get a prescription filled. They say they will return your calls but never do. It should not take 7 days to refill a prescription. They NEVER answer their phones either, it’s truly sad that my child has to suffer at the hands of their unprofessionalism. Do NOT bring your child here.
The staff is unprofessional to say the least. They leave messages without says their name ,what department they’re calling from, or what it’s in reference to.Just a number to the main operating system. When you reach someone their sound annoyed or like they just woke up, they give out the wrong information. It’s frustrating as a parent when your child needs care and these are the people you have to deal with
If I can rate no stars I would !! Tonight I’ve completely made the decision . I will never be returning . We had a sleep study test to attend lastnight and it will be the last . We arrived at 7 started getting settled in the room and the tech HEATHER comes to talk to me and she immediately noticed my child stand in the hard couch parents have to sleep on . With an attitude demanding my child never to do that again . This wasn’t the first time . Personally I don’t know if she just having a bad night but thank you heather for that terrible experience. See thing is you work there . 80 percent of the parents going through this never done this before so hopefully for next time you will have more empathy for the families that never done it before because just telling a child don’t move while their wearing wires is scary to them . Than no one even explained to my child anything make her feel at ease . But Kia the student nurse was good over all . She was the only one with a heart lastnight .
I wouldn’t even give this place a one star if I could. Took my son to see Dr Wendy Edlund and she didn’t want to listen to our concerns and basically threw in our face we need to parent our child with discipline and fix his behaviors to then worry about his sleep, she basically shoved a packet about autism in our face and sent us out the door OH and referred us to ENT (?) like what the heck?! She seems disgusted by my son and started getting mad at him for touching everything. He is 3 and autistic, they knew that why would they put him in a room with expensive equipment if they didn’t want him to touch it. I wouldn’t recommend.
