My old allergist retired and I unfortunately needed to get a new one. I’m so thankful I know what a good allergist is, because this place isn’t it. Every appointment I scheduled they have tried to change the times on me the day of. The office staff is rude and I wait for the allergist for over an hour every time. If you know you fall behind, don’t schedule as many appointments. Will be finding a different group if I ever have to go back.

I have seen 2 different types of Doctors at the lung center. I have had nothing but good experiences there. Everyone from the person who scheduled my appointment to the person who gave me my summary of my visit were. nothing but professional and polite. I would highly recommend them to anyone who has complex lung conditions. I'm

I scheduled an appointment for an allergy test. 10 days before that appointment I received a message to schedule my allergy test. When I called to see what was going on I was informed my appointment was not in their system, despite having been prescribed a nasal antihistamine to replace my daily zyrtec. I was to receive a call back and did not. When I was billed for the first consultation (at the rate for a specialist) I noticed that I had been rescheduled without anyone ever contacting me about the appointment. I called to ensure it was a real appointment and it was. I live 1 hour and 20 min from the Pittsburgh office. I left my house 2 hours before the appointment, on a day where there was a flood watch. It took me more than 2 hours due to traffic which I really hit only in the last 6 miles of my trip. I had no way to know I was going to be running late until I was almost at my destination (and an hour and 10 minutes into the drive). I arrived at my appointment 11 minutes late and could not check in. By the time I was able to speak to someone it was more than 11 minutes after my appointment. Staff checked and told me I would not be not able to be seen that day even though I was willing to wait all day because there was no appointment. I do not understand how this is the case because at that very moment the person I was supposed to see was with a client and allergy testing takes more than 11 minutes - so who did they take back in my place and why did that not free up some space for a later opening. I rearranged my work schedule and my school schedule for the week to take the day off with only a week notice. I took a less effective allergy medication for a week and lived in misery. It is probable that I will have a sinus infection that will need to be treated due to the ineffective medication which was why I was seeking allergy testing in the first place. I spent more than 2 hours driving down there and an hour and 45 minutes driving home effectively losing my day to any other purpose. My insurance company and I paid for a visit that was essentially a consultation that led nowhere. I will be starting this whole thing over again with a different provider after waiting months for this appointment.

Absolutely terrible experience(s). I would not come back here again. I had a very difficult time scheduling an appointment, it actually took weeks. Finally when I had an appointment they said I was taken off the schedule due to over booking, but no one got ahold of me...so I left work early and made the long trip for nothing. They did reschedule me, however they ended up calling me the day before to reschedule. When I finally came in for an appointment, the staff( including front office, nurse practitioner and doctor) was rude, cold, unhelpful & acted like I was wasting THEIR time. I was asked to repeat the same information multiple times . The only good thing here is the valet. The valet crew is absolutely wonderful , very nice.
